  1. If I'm honest I don't see the point, I've spoken to people who have posted on the vendor issues thread and nothing come of it other than a false promise of repairs, which never materialised and ignored emails 🤷‍♂️
  2. As I stated before, I've spoken to many disgruntled customers, despite public promises on here and various other places, armour is frequently broken in transit due to bad packing, you can see it in the wip's on here... Sad thing is,it could be easily rectified...The worst case is of someone who's armour was completely broken and unfixable, from publicly promising on here to fix it, nothing was done and all messages ignored.I could give you many different examples of very very bad so called 'customer service' along with more questionable practices..
  3. I agree that it's not helping, however my emails began being ignored over 2 months ago, before any troubles started. Supposedly it was in for painting in January, after I asked why it was taking so long, the status magically changed after 10 months of being the Same all that time. Since that point I've heard nothing, all correspondence has been ignored since they have asked for more money for delivery, however unfortunately for them I spoke to someone who ordered a few months before me and only recently received his armour,he paid less in delivery than me and didn't have to pay additional fees, also their current delivery price is what I paid originally,so why they asked for a additional $90 I haven't a clue 🤔 that would of brought total shipping costs to $280!!!! I had photographic evidence that I sent with the email. All I can do is wait to see if I do ever receive my armour, and unfortunately I expect it to be cracked or broken, due to poor packing and any replacement parts needed won't ever be replaced. 😕
  4. So it's been a year since ordering my armour..Ive been getting no response for the past several months, I advise NOT to order armour from armoury prop shops in Russia, unless you like waiting a extraordinarily long time . I've spoken to many people who's armour came badly packed and broken and the public promises (on here) of replacement parts are lies and emails are ignored.... So if I do ever receive my armour, it's going to be damaged and I'll have to repair it myself..
  5. Only just saw your post ,I'm glad I've been some help, that's been the aim all along feel free to contact me whenever you'd like .
  6. I've Got bored while waiting and put together alternative boot design using various elements from patrol, shore and patrol troopers.i should mention I've learned how to 3d print in the past 8 to 9 months.
  7. 11 months and still waiting for the armour to arrive!!!! Armour prop shop want me to pay for additional shipping costs ,I paid for the more expensive option (UPS)when I ordered in march 2021 ,which was $200, and now they want a additional $90 to use a different courier service ( DHL), funny thing is DHL was the cheaper option to use at $160... I've been led to believe it's to do with insurance claims if thing's are broken in transit, only problem being, is that replacement parts are NEVER sent out ,I have spoken to multiple people who have received broken part's and armour prop shop have publicly promised ( on here) to replace parts but stopped replying to emails and messages as soon as the promise was made..,I have spoken to someone who received completely broken armour and due to a false promise , this person has "given up on his dream to be in the 501st " 😕 another person I have had contact with waited 14 months for his armour to arrive only for it to have the smell of smoke ingrained in to it,this person was kind enough to share his shipping details with me as he lives in the same country as me but used the cheaper courier.someone else has waited over a year for a helmet stand,if you look on the prop shop page on Facebook you will regularly see people asking about old order's they are waiting for ,and messages going unanswered. I will finish by saying I cannot fault the quality of the helmet I received,I am very happy with it , however I would advise anyone ordering anything other than a helmet to think twice.

  9. I found out that the blaster that comes with the armour is on the small side and I'd previously noticed holster isn't quite movie accurate either , so I decided to make a holster. After some research ,I decided to use Eva foam as a sandwich layer( to add 2mm thickness) and a thermoplastic called worbla to give a plastic look and feel. I drew a several templates till I was happy with the design, after playing around with the design I came to the realization that the screen used holster has no squared edges and is essentially moulded around the design of the blaster.i cut out the design on both materials and heated them in to shape, taking perticular note of the indentation underneath the sight and the round flaired edge....so after several layers of paint, laquer and filler ... Here's the result! Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
  10. A closer shot! They have been slightly weathered but more will be added when my armour finally arrives...it's been 8 months since ordering it .. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
  11. batton holder all finished! The other design is from a unused Idea for the patrol trooper where the holder is worn on the legs...I've just gotta figure out how to attach it [emoji12][emoji23] Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk

  19. Ive had the batton holster redesigned as to be as screen accurate as possible and to fit the 'new' batton.Ill be printing it out as soon as I get the go ahead from my 501st armourer and put pictures up when it's done. https://ibb.co/S0TXsNV Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk

  21. So my jacket is finally finished,as ive stated elsewhere on this forum, thin breathable material was added to the design to try and keep as cool as possible and can confirm that it does the job very well, and isn't very warm at all !!! hopefully it will pass inspection ... when I finally receive my armour- it's been 7 month's since ordering and I'm still waiting, due to the painter being hospitalised over summer and they have recently had a fire in their workshop Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
  22. I'm really sorry to be the bearer of more bad news ,but it looks like armour prop shop aren't making / selling any design's of armour currently, due to the backlog of uncompleted armour ,because of their painter being Ill and hospitalised for several months due to Corona .On the positive side,at least this will give you more time to save up for the armour and you can still order the helmet, which is currently 30% cheaper than normal! Edit- it's worth signing up to the newsletter on their site and also following them on Facebook,so you can keep up to date with any changes.
  23. Trouser to reference--I've just noticed your are now ( probably) in Poland,so it would be best to source them from the USA.
  24. Hello, first time builder here too! I'll start by giving you the bad news, the soft goods are Not available from armour prop shop anymore, unfortunately no one ,as far as I'm aware at least ,is doing the soft goods for the patrol trooper 😕 I'm currently in the process of having a jacket made, which should be completed by the end of October, the details of the jacket should be screen accurate as I've had some help / information from someone very knowledgeable on here. The seamstress I'm using is happy to make more when the jacket gets approved, as there's several people who I know of ,who own the armour but don't have the soft goods. Ive redesigned it so it should be a bit more comfortable / cooler than the prop shop one,I'm not going to be making any money from the sales, just so you know . There's a post about trousers , which I'll post below shortly, Otherwise reference the post and try and find something similar near you. The helmet Now comes with a grill glued in place inside the helmet and the teeth are pre cut out ,so you don't have to cut the teeth out like the previous builders had to. I'm still waiting for my armour that I ordered in march, there has been a problem with the armour painter at prop shop so its been delayed, however I don't think a six month wait is that unusual for them . sorry about the long post , hopefully it should be of help. If you need any help , from someone who is in a similar position, don't hesitate to contact me
