This Cummerbund is similar to the scouts. My seamstress and I took my scouts cummerbund and got the basic dimensions from it. If you don't have a cummerbund measure around your waist, around your chest, and from your waist to your chest. Items needed: White Cotton Fabric Non-Rolled Elastic 1 1/2" ( make sure its from the same box) Velcro 1/2" & 2" A seperating zipper (sports zipper w/ the large teeth). Snaps Garrison Belt about 2" ( the belt I used is 1" b/c of my small stature) These are my measurements so adjust to your size! Lining: 12' wide; length to fit = 1"(at the bottom so I could add snaps to attach the belt) Lining: 13" wide (1/2 seam) Length to fit person + 1" , 1/2 seam one each end! Outside: Cloth strip: 13" long (1/2" seam at each end) & 2" 1/2 wide (1/4 seam on each side). Elastic: 12" long & 1" 1/2 wide (1/4 seam on each side) Number of cloth and elastic strips needed depends on the length! Finished strip size: C - E - C - E --------------- 2" 1" 2" 1" etc.... Cloth(2) Elastic (1) The Black pieces are black velcro The zipper is a regular seperating zipper and kinks up, so this is were the sport/plastic zipper comes in. Make sure the elastic is from the same roll. As you can see the last two strips of elastic were off white and they did not dye correctly.

Tom, would you consider making a belt without the belt flap, or since it's rubber cut it off. I only ask this because I would not want to glue it to the cummerbund since it would need to be washed once in a while. I would use snaps. This is what I did to my wanna-b belt. Although, your belt is a whole lot nicer! I glued one part of the snap to the belt and attached the other part of the snap to the cummerbund. I did this near the bottom edge of the cummerbund. Just a thought!....SO! When can I get one! -

Very Nice! -
Cool! post up once you have the prototype!

Yes....I ordered a set of L & XL ...so If I am able to give some up here in the states I'll let you Know. The Mediums I will use for test Dyeing since they are too small!
-
I received my shirts and will have to send them back the mediums are way too small...so I think large will fit me better...or I may use these to do some test dyes. One thing I notice is on two of the shirts is their is a zipper on the inside and then it buttons up on the front ??
-
Congrats!
-
My shirt came out better than the pants...it may due to the wear/use of the pants
-
Very cheap and in limited Quantities I purchased Mediums, the one I have is a large and I want to do a test dye so why buy on the bay! You do not have to be a member to order! http://www.sportsmansguide.com Item # BX9M_145390X

KS armor paint colors discussion.
Lonescout replied to mrbungle's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Armor/Helmet
I seen an CGI file of Commander Gree and the cgi techs cut copied and paste the camoe....when the pic was blown up you can see the edges off the patterns as they were not clean up fully....so as the copy and pasting took place this is how the camoe was created...I assume the KS would have been the same. I think Pghfett was dead on with the camoe flow. Who ever starts the painting must finish it so thier comeo job is all the same! My 2 cents! -

Tom, the knee straps work fine and he used snaps to secure them...yeah! I have to do something with the shoulder bells...I do have foam inside of the bell that way they don't swallow my shoulder! Back to the drawing board! -

I will need to do some a tune up.... paint the belt, do something with my shoulder bells the were sliding all over the place, I will have to get two smaller pouches for my back as the tank length is long. Accurate Gloves, redo the Cob piece(wider), neck showing, Etc. Over all I received a lot of compliments on the paint job and costume...and my mini scout(my son) stole my thunder from what I hear! other pics of the con http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=4889&hl= -

Frank, Nice find....Yes the "elbow" armor has TWO individual straps, and not one. I haven't cut the thin piece out of mine but Pghfett's pics had two straps also! -

Ok! this is my Final pics until I have the whole costume on! Pants pockets...I am only 5'5 so I had to make these smaller... Codd piece needs to be redone wider at the top. I don't like it! The cloth is sewn over styrene which will keep its form and then velcroed to the cummerbund and inbetween the legs. The gray leather in-between the legs need to be shorter they are touching my knees...so these will need to be redone! -

Thanks brother for your kind compliments! I am just trying to put some ideas out their....I think of it as Pghfett started it, most of the foundation was laid, and someone needed to go out on a limb and just do it! Then we can change and modify different parts later. I think once their is more armor out their the interest will pick up!. I need you aviator. LOL! I thank the others who have helped me mrbungle, Heatshock, Acrylikhan, etc. -
