It only gets better from here Brother! Enjoy the ride! I finally order my armor and I can't wait for it to arrive.

Here's a thread that might help. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=13065. There's a pattern that you can take and mod to your size. Wookievader's build thread might help too. Is there someone in your garrison that could help you knock out the bund? Don't panic trooper there is always a solution!

before I cut.... what do you think????

Congrats WV it is beautiful! -
Thanks Scavenger but I can't take credit for that. I didn't have the chops to sew the real suede onto my flight suit so our Exec, BikerScout007, suggested that I contact Gabe over at MSC do it for me. I wanted to go for Lancer in the future so I wanted the real suede. It took awhile to get but he did an excellent job.

Ha! Thanks Geographer! That's because I've had the luxury of the experience of all the Scouts before me to draw upon for my build. I can only hope it's up to the standards this fabulous group of troopers deserves. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I can't wait for the Altmann's to come in from down under. Your armor is looking great post more pics!

Great build Vinny! I just ordered my SC armor so looking forward to getting started. I will also be joining the Altmann's team as well once mine arrives. One item I noticed was that the greeblies on your TD are backwards from the CRL requirements. The round greeblie should be on the right and the rebel rank badge on the left (http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TB_Scout_trooper-detonator). Keep up the great work!

Yeah I saw that too. I'm learning that it's hard to make sure you're all together without another person to look you over. I thought I had the pant well tucked in but the camera doesn't lie. That's a great suggestion and I'm going to implement it. Thanks Dart!! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

I wanted to post a pic of me in my soft armor for review. I wanted to wait until I had my armor before I put the pouches on to make sure they sat right under my chest armor. Comments, corrections, suggestions welcome. Thanks!!

I used the exact same boots...and technique. Just take it slow and use sharp blades. They're looking really nice!

This would have looked all the more cooler if you had a Darth Vader mask I wonder what Marcel would say... Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

Thanks a lot Jim! I've decided to go ahead and pick up and Altmann bucket from Spike. I really appreciate the offer!
-
Will do. Thanks for the lead! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

Does anyone know a good source where I can obtain a chin cup for my bucket? Can you make one or is it better to buy off the rack? Thanks very much! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

Thank bunches Chunk! I'm going to check and see if Kevin has any left but if not I'll be hitting you up for a set. Thanks again buddy! I'm finally at the point of getting my armor so I need to gather the rest of my parts. SC here I come!
-
Dern it! Thanks Griffin! This is why I love BSN. Got folks like you to steer folks like me away from making mistakes like this. I wonder if Kevin has any more of these sets? Thanks again!

I found a place in Ontario, CA that has them for around $5. Here's the link: http://www.apdmro.co...0071624996.htm. Hope this helps. Disregard...their shipping costs are outrageous. My apologies but I went to check out and got a shipping cost sticker shock.
-
Hi Nisa and welcome to BSN! There are several manufactures of armor that you can find here. My advise is to head over to the "Hard Armor" section and start researching the different types for your build. There are also a lot of great Pathfinders that you can ask advice from. Choosing armor has a lot to do with price, how long you want to wait (to get it), and how it fits your body frame. I would encourage you to jump into the forums and start learning as much as you can and ask a lot of questions. I would also encourage you to reach out the GML of the Singapore Garrison as the local garrisons are there to help you out as well. Hope this helps and best to you!

I''ll echo Griffin-X on Chris909x. You can either have them built or just get the pieces and put them together. I got my boot pieces from him and they are excellent! I finally got them completed and I have pics over in my boot build thread (at the bottom) here: http://forum.bikersc...pic=14026&st=40 if you would like to take a look. Great price and good quality. I recommend him.

Picking your armor is always hard. After a lot of research I'm going with SC as it's nice armor and they have excellent customer service. I just now finished all my soft armor and boots so I am finally ready for my hard armor. I've heard good things about Walt on the FISD boards most importantly that he has really good communications.
-
Boots are finally completed! What say you my fellow pathfinders do they pass inspection?
-
Thanks! I'm just getting them finished up with the dogbones. I'll post some pics when I get them all done.

Merry Christmas and a most fabulous and blessed new year to all my Pathfinder Brothers and Sisters from the Dewback Ridge Garrison in sunny New Mexico! Best to you all!!
-
Greetings Troopers! Just wanted to let you all know that I'm still around and working, rather slowly, on my build. I'm moving my family to Arizona in the coming year so I haven't been as active as I would like to be. Boots are still just about done and I have my bund and other sundry items for my build. Dune Sea Garrison here I come! Best to you all and the best of holidays with you and your families!!!

Welcome and you've come to the right place. There are so many here that are ready and willing to help. Start learning all you can about the various parts. Since you're a 501st member you know about the CRLs already so I would recommend that you give the Scout CRL a read over then start diving into the board threads and learn more. Feel free to ask questions that's what everyone is here for. Best you!
