Need help with mounting 3M Speedglas on a MC Bucket
jyjellyfish77 replied to Drakon's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I have the 3M bolts and decided to go away from them because I couldn't get the headpiece to fit right. I ended up using the bolts that came with the bucket and glued the caps that came with the it. For the inside I went with military helmet pads and it works just fine. -
Ed you could try bulking up a little too. Let's go homie, how's the foot?
-
The stirrups will work great. Once I put the knee pads on my legs don't move at all.
-
I like the thoughts and it would have to be something that you do with your squad. I'm for sure going to have an Everglades Squad patch on my bell as soon as I'm approved.

Posted my submission photos that I took in the show off section. This string can be deleted or closed. Thanks.

Sorry if I've spammed these feeds. My "24 hours till submission" feed can be deleted.

I'm submitting these tonight. :-)

Cool, I'm going to try to address it with an elastic loop similar to Panda's build so I can attach it to my leg. Thanks for taking a look.
-
Thanks, that was a last minute adjustment because the velcro what messed up inside. They're back out now.
-
No I wasn't wearing the vest at the time, it fits well and I'll show it in the next pictures. Good point about the rivets and boxes, thanks.

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a new thread because I have a couple adjustments to make and then I'm going to submit my pictures. Those will also go up on here for your examining eyes. Thanks everyone for all the help along the build. Let me first point out that the pouches will slide out to the outer rib, an internal strap will be installed under the holster to keep the boot from sagging, and the riding crotch/bands will be added tonight. I'll post front and back tonight.

Bro you might need to trim up some of the armor so it'll fit if you have problems. Looks good though. The chest should keep the bun up but I'm going to add suspenders to the bun that I'll hide under the chest piece. I don't know the answer for the vest part.

I've been working pretty feverishly to include a trip to Europe and an engagement over the last month so I've been slacking on my build posts. My goal was to be ready for yesterday so I could test my biker out on a troop and I've very happy with the results and found some small faults that I'll adjust this week prior to submitting my pictures. My pouches are close because of a last minute Velcro change and will be moved out for good this week.

haha that glove is hilarious. I'd never noticed that.

Rapidly approaching completion. I can't wait to be finished. Here's a question, I've seen different pictures of the TD Greeble. Do I need to flip it?

They look good! I just searched Biker Scout gloves since the link was showing up in German.

Finished my helmet yesterday. That lens isn't going anywhere.

Yeah the stitching will be covered by the seam that you add after the toe is finished. Check with the seller because shipping them to the US may be more than the auction. That style is good though. Walmart Brahma ones are good too and around $20.

A box of goodies came in yesterday. I'm going to finish the work on my bucket then get this stuff together at my squad's armor party on the 13th of July. Should be submitting that day also.

My first armor, but not the last.
jyjellyfish77 replied to AirborneMP00's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Yeah I use photobucket, it's real easy that way. -
Hey Dennis, Check out Aeruk's build that includes the MLC helmet. I had purchased the KW helmet equipment but it doesn't line up with the bolts already in the MLC. I went with the pads that Aeruk posted on the thread and I think they're cool and real easy to use. I haven't trooped with it yet but I have worn it around my house and it's comfortable. My stickers aren't bad and I got them off ebay. Probably the same ones you have. Down the road I may reapply new ones. Good luck!!

I'm here, still working on mine. My armor should be at my front door when I get home from work. Although I'm building a biker scout.
