I thought we were swinging for a 3d model = normal Kashyyk Trooper and; Scene cap = swamper statues Kashyyk Trooper? Here I just pulled this from a screen cap, You can see the leg strap is definitely grey and the shape is how we've already agreed. But the arm strap seems to be exactly like grump was saying, it's a raised edge grey strap but with a black middle...

Even in the screen cap it looks grey, I think it's safe to say the gloves arnt an issue on how they are written up as of date. I say grey

LoL, well it's easier to see a bigger patch of the digital pattern on the pants rather than the upper body with all the armour on... But hey now that you mention it

Did you make the HIPS plastic glue the same way Tony decribed for the ABS?

Ok well even though I am already 95% finished my Brittish DPM set I'll take a hit for the team and take a pair of my desert tans (Canadian CadPat) and dye them... To me the pattern looks more like a "Digital Disruptive Pattern" on then it does the Brittish DPM... I'll let you know how it goes next week

Ok wow, if I have 3 months to build my armour to fit in the "old CRL" then I might as well wait to begin till I get home later next year... I've been away from home for the better part of a year and will only be home for around 3 months just to leave for nearly another year. Personally it wasn't hard to find the BDU'S here in Canada but I know a lot of guys in the US were having some trouble finding local shops with some. As for things posaibly changing or specifically the colours changing, I don't really mind but real time constraints must be thought of. My plan was to begin my cummerbund when I got home next week but I might as well wait untill the big bad boys have it out with each other and see who comes out on top...

LoL, I've been reading so much on how to build this armor for the past month or more that I feel like I have a good grasp of what I need to do... But I know when I finally get it infront of me next week I'll sit there and not know where to begin for the first couple hours ChilledMilk has a good head start on me though, so most the things I've been thinking of asking he has posted

I would love to know if there's a possibility of things changing because I don't want to colour my TAN boots WHITE just to have the CRL change to a more "screen accurate" TAN again... I was going to be painting my pouches and armour at the same time so the pattern will be what I see as the "Screen actuate" as the CRL says. I guess I'll leave my boots till last and hopefully by then a definite word will come down if CRL will change or not. Keep it civil guys we all want our armour to look the best but there are guidelines we have to follow

I bought a rechargable duel fan kit from DTR1 on CTN, I believe the specs are the same as Shadow ARF's kit... 12v Battery Specs 3.7" x 2.4"x 1.1" Output: 12 V Current Load: 1A On/Off Switch 26" Extension cable Fan Specs: 12Vdc, 0.28A blower. 50 x 20mm, ball bearing blower. 5300 RPM. 6.75CFM. 15.5db-A Are these like the 'squirrel' fans your talking about? :::::: amendment :::::: I just got word back from DTR1 he says those sizes are correct

Thanks Comm, That knot in my stomach got a bit looser LoL, I have a 24" skull so seein as your not that far off I doubt I'll have an issue... Is there much extra room in there when you get you head in? ie. for a headband kit or a fan kit?

how bi is your head? I have a large skull and I would be very sad if I have to remake the helmet from BC... I won't be home for another 3 weeks so I'll tell you then.

I will be using the bates desert boots I wore on tour, I'll post the model type in a few weeks when I'm home. You look like you found a good bit of information that is useful to all us new to building (or even just new to Kashyyyk)

I'm nearly done this course I'm on... Another 2 huge exams to complete in the next 2.5 weeks then I get to go home! (Wife and kids will be happy) I'll post more on my progress in about 3 weeks
