  1. Here are some approximate dimensions for the grey cord that wraps around the hose on the thermal detonator. Maybe this will help spark some searches. .
  2. I want to find that thigh webbing probably most of all.
  3. Has everyone given up on the search, or are they just not seeing this thread?
  4. any other leads for any of these things?
  5. The neck seal is actually supposed to be dressed UNDER the neck of the jumpsuit, not overtop like in the pic.
  6. Was thinking, does anyone think it would be a good idea to stick this thread? If we are going to find any of these pieces visibility is going to be key. .
  7. Anyone make any progress on these parts?
  8. No updates yet.
  9. Yeah a good friend of mine is the author of that book and had many discussions with him while it was being made. However I can say right now that none of the scout items that we are searching for will be found in it, or I would already know what they were. Mollo didn't work on ROTJ, the scouts were make at ILM in the US just for clarification. Don't get me wrong, I love the RPF, but this forum is most definitely the place to have a scout discussion. Way more interest and focus here than anywhere else. .
  10. No prob guys! Now if only we could find some of those missing parts I listed. .
  11. It's okay I don't mind. I'll still try to answer some questions when I can. Yes the pouches are absolutely sewn to the bund. .
  12. Thanks Andrew! 1. not sure but there are a lot of helmets/costumes in the archives, i would say almost all of them are still there 2. the balaclava is actually sewn to a long sleeve undershirt 3. the scout that han fights is actually wearing an entire stunt costume. The helmet and armor are made in a red rubber and painted white which is why all the details of this costume are so wonky and weird. They used this same red rubber material to make the sarlac pit fett costume and other misc stunt items for ROTJ. 4. I would say from a construction standpoint they are all very similar. There are some small variances in the way the visor is trimmed and assembled but that's about it. Also the indentations on the bottom rear of the helmet and vary a bit due to damage/repair work to the original mold as they were vac forming the originals. .
  13. Nice work Philip. That's the kind of thinking and effort that produces results! Keep on it man.
  14. Lou I forgot to tell you, EFX isn't going to be at NYCC this year as I thought.
  15. Yeah I would say that the intention was for the belt to be attached flush with the bottom of the bund. However due to sloppy dressing, or movement a slight gap or overlap would happen from time to time. .
  16. Anyone still looking?
  17. So as far as model parts go, we're still trying to find: 1. lower bicept greebly 2. rectangular thermal det. greebly assembly
  18. Cool I'd be interested to see how that comes out. I really do think that it's not scratch built though. I would be shocked if it weren't a found item or model part.
  19. Yeah the studio scale guys are pretty good at finding things. The top part of the t-bit is from the vintage darth vader tie fighter model kit (but I thought that was common knowledge).
  20. Here's some close up pics of the lower bicept greebly. If anyone identifies it, post it up here. Would be awesome if someone could find it and make castings available (since the original ones were castings too). .
  21. Is that the only part of it that has been identified so far?
