Joannes Fabrics in Citrus Town Center. The one by me and in NPR did not have the tan/ oatmeal suede. But they did have it at Citrus Town Center. That was about 8 or 9 months ago though. -

Florida is experiencing a rash of upcoming Kashyyyk Troopers. -
Came out looking really good. Just FYI i used the black shiny vinyl and once you spray a final matte finish over it it looks good, but I agree, that before that it was way off. Good job

Almost done with the new gloves.

Wow, That sucks about the pouch. Glove looks better, but you might want to give it a bit of weathering so they don't look all shiny new. I just submitted my pics for approval as well. Good luck -
Just sent my pics in to my GML...Will have to wait to see what he says

After taking the rough over spray off the final product came out good. I was a little weary it may have been to dark. My first time with an airbrush. If I had any artistic talent that could be fun. Cumberbund and pouches all weathered. And me without my cod piece, shameful The lens is glued into the helmet and drying, around 6pm tonight, I will put on the green reflective tint and I am DONE!!!
-
With the added weathering. Once it is all dry, just need to install the green reflective lens
-
Thanks guys. All items are done painted and greebs applied. I am just waiting for the weather to clear up a bit so I can airbrush my weathering and then install the lens in the buck..After that it is picture time. Until the weather clears a little I did some hand weathering on the new silicon straps I molded for the elbows and knees

A couple of shots of the "eylashes" on the fresh bucket paint job.
-
Clear coat is sprayed on all but the back plate and the helmet, waiting for them to dry a little more. While waiting I figured I will take a shot at making a new set of gloves
-
I thought the same thing Gerald. But the rest looks good. And man, that is one heavily used dc-15s.

Greetings and welcome, I have no other build to compare this to, as this was my first build as well. The guys here are always willing to help out when ever you need information. Right now the one kit is all that is available. I have a 48" chest and the back tank and chest pieces just fit around me, but you can easily just put extensions on the tabs that go under your arm. I believe I remember seeing a thread on that quite a while ago. I had to put some pretty good shims in the shin armor as my calves are weirdly large. I had to ah 3"4" to both inside and outside. My hat size is 7 1/2 and I fit the bucket just fine. Are you from Florida? Just asking, as the last two letters of your call sign.

So the camo is dry on most of the parts (the back tank and the helmet are still not ready yet) so I removed the latex exposing the silver under coat. It is still a bit shiny, but when the flat finish coat is applied, it will really dull the shine down. Problem with this point in the build is waiting for paint to dry so I can do the next coat. Getting closer every day.

That is a good look Mike.

Thanks Alan. Except for repainting, the build was a lot of fun. Good lick with your Scout, I may try to start one of those next year, but I have a Tie Pilot in the works right now. And please feel free to ask any question you have. I or any one of the great guys will gladly help you out.

While my paint dries, I found my boots were REALLY comfy, But a huge pin in the butt to get on and off becuase of the shin armor. SO I decided to take about 3 inches off of their height. Tried them on and they are really easy to get on and off now. Will probably roll the edge and put a seem on them...eventually
-
SO I Painted the Camo pattern on today and I went with a softer edge on the camo, which I will agree is much more cannon. So far so good.
-
Getting ready to paint the camo (again ) THis time, no hard edges, gonna make it more cannon. My first test swatch
-
curious... what do you have attached to the toe cap to catch on the extruding rivet?

THe gauntlet greeb is supposed to be on the inside of the arm not the outside. -
THanks for the Offer MIQT, But I sent BC a PM and she is sending me a new set. And no, the under eye decals did not come with my kit and BC said they do not come with.. I made mine out of 1/16" Black Pinstriping and I will do that again. Thanks again

One other reason I like the chrome undercoat is that as my kit wears through the years (hopefully) the chrome will start to show through additional scarring and scratches. Good weathering always comes from excessive use.
