  1. Also the video to DIY is very good and I would gladly try, but I need the Greebs
  2. Thanks Grumpy and Heatshock, will get them corrected tomorrow night. Love this characters look, can't wait to be done!!
  3. Thanks for the link, but this looks like the old list and half of these are not producing any longer. It has Mr. Bungle & PGHFett down as a vendor for armor, Mr Bungle and Acrylikhan as suppliers of greeblies and neither do. Grumpy is not currently making gloves. Not that I am complaining (because I have already been to these dead ends ) just wondering if those vendors could be updated for the next guy coming up. I am sure they would appreciate the help as well. IMHO
  4. Like everything else with this build I am a just a little late getting to the dance. LOL I am getting ready to start on my gloves, I really like Grumpy's gloves, but as he has posted, he is taking a break from making them. Does any one know where I can get either the complete gloves or just the Greeb's for the gauntlet? I am not real handy with the sewing mahine, but I would be willing to take a stab at it, but without the greeb's I am stuck Any info thanks.
  5. I have also received my British Desert BDUs. I have spent the last week at night, ripping all of the seams to remove all the pockets, patches and Velcro. Question though on the shirt do the two shoulder straps and buttons need to come off as well? The tabs are sewn into the seam and I can take them out, but them I will have to resew the seam. Also on the shirt, my zipper on the front of the shirt goes all the way up and has no buttons, but then there is a flapthat covers the zipper and it is velcroed closed. Since almost none of the front of the shirt is seen, due to the cumberbund, do I have to do anything with that. i know MR bungles shirt and many others had buttons that they had to hide with extra fabric. I am trying to make the thigh pouches for the pants, with the left over material from the removed pockets, this week. Front of Shirt Sleeve Closure Shirt Collar close up Front of Shirt showing zipper concealed Pants Front of pants Back of Pants All the material I removed from the pants and shirt. I could probably make a set of shorts with all the fabric. ;-)
  6. Getting a little closer. If my personal life would stop getting in the way I would be much further ahead than I am now. Since I still do not have (and can not get the armor) I am going to start practicing my painting techniques on my hard hats for work. Tired of plain old white lids anyways.
  7. Yes it is the PGHFett, from BikerChick. Here is some new pics of todays work. I have a little nick that I have to repair with some bondo in the left eye indent. Other than that I am ready to smooth it out with bondo and start feathering in the mold imperfections. Feed back would be greatly appreciated, so I can get this done at one time, not going back time and time again to fix little things. Thanks guys
  8. Well, after having my new shell for about 3 weeks, I finally found so time to work on it. Obviously it is a really rough start, but little by little, I will get there. I am not really good with building things or cutting to fit, but I think this will be fun. Tomorrow I will be cutting the ears and smoothing out the eye lens area. Even though there is not armor anywhere, I am getting some other parts together as well. attachment=1122:kts helmet.jpg]
  9. Chex, I am trying to get it together as fast as I can. I sent Heatshock a PM, we will see what he has to say. I am registered on the florida board, I just haven't done an intro yet. Will do that this weekend.
  10. I have recieved my bucket and have started working on it, my British Desert BDU's are on the way, my cumberbund is on order and I am on the waiting list for Crow62 next boot order. My roadblock seems to be the KT armor. I have already heard from MB who is not making the armor any longer. I have talked to the person who supplied my bucket, and they are working on molds but it could be until the end of summer, before they start production. Anybody know of a new armorer or one that I do not know of yet. Apparently I started my build about two months to late. Story of my life. oh well, hope someone has some good news. Thanks
