Picked up my package from MC yesterday. Its a really nice kit, and it better be, since I waited just about 23 weeks for this. Ordered on December 6th and yesterday was May 10th. Pretty long wait me thinks, but its awesome This will likely be assembled at Nordic Garrisons event in LEGOland next month, as we want to show the public that we make theese costumes ourselves and put alot of work into them. I wont be going lancer with this, although I will have most of the details for it. But I want to cover the ears with a mesh, so that rules out Lancer for me. But no biggie really Pictures pictures pictures The box Inside MC have done a really great job on the packaging. First there are alot of newspaper, and then each part is wrapped in foam. Helmet is wrapped in bubble wrapping All the accesories with the helmet. The lens have to be bought seperately though. The two discs for the ear screws is made of resin and then painted. They where taped together and the paint made them stick real hard to each other, so when I finally managed to separate them, there came a big chip in them. But nothing sandpaper and paint wont fix All the parts And just for the fun of it, I had to dress up my TM suit with the TB helmet For comparison And the things I already had. SA gloves PA blaster JD Greeblies Cheap boots. I notmally use a size EU43 but for some reason theese ladies size EU41 fits me really well hehe Thats all for now. I will go hunting fabric for all the soft parts.

Im no expert, but I think that the elastic strap on the shoulder bell should be mounted a bit higher on the TB than on a TK. I think about between a ½ and 1" from the bottom will do.

What about the MOTM ??? Is this to be considered incorrect? I surely dont see the option to replicate that any where, even though its from the LFL arhcives.

Thats because they have the choise to do so, and not something forced unto them. Sorry if it sounds like i'm blaming all of this on you, as that is not my intention at all. I like that there have been done things to improve on the costume,but what you(here i mean BSN and the legion as a whole) are doing here, is demand people more or less build to Lancer specs. I'm not saying that its all bad, but mayby people should have the option to leave out some of the little things, like suede and a bit of elastic, in their build, and then have the option to make a choice of their own, to put this in later, when they want it to be there, and want to be more acurate, but i like that the vest now is required, as this is a rather large part of the costume, that helps on the overall look. Right now i cant see any difference between the CRL and Lancer, which if nothing else, is a great shame to the Lancers, who wanted their costumes to be above the rank and file, but are now redduced to being just that.

What is the difference between the New CRL and the Lancer??? Only thing i can see is that we still have the option to cover the "ears" with black mesh on the inside.

I agree with TK6782. This will most likely give you more Lancers from new recruits, but i also think your number of said new recruits will dwindle with theese new requirements. I know I am putting my TB on hold for now, even though i have most parts ordered. But hey. Your detachement, your decisions.

Why only pick one?? If there are so many different ways the TD was put together, why not just state in the lancer specs, that it must be present with all greeblies, but no one way of putting it together. Clearly its screen acurate either way, just as long as you use the right parts. But thats just my opinion though. Also, it seems like the grey tube in the TD is of varying length.

MC is alive somewhere. I ordered my kit from him at the start of this month. Shipping should be about 8-10 weeks. But if you buy from MC you get it all in one kit, unless you're buying everything seperately, but that just makes it all more expencive. If you just want a Rubies mask, i suggest you try Ebay, or Google, but i think you would get a better helmet out of pepakura and some dedication.

Why would you only want half a costume??? I think it would just look weird.

Hi Matt. cant say for the scout armour, as I have only trooped in a TK suit, but i have been to Afghanistan and have walked around with the vest and helmet on. The greatest difference, is of course the weight, but also that these costumes are mostly full body and not just the torso and top of your skull. But generaly I cant say that wearing a TK/TB suit is compairable to wearing modern day protective gear. They are both hot to wear, but in each their different way.
