There's a troop this saturday, I think I'll be able to troop in the scout! All the pieces strapped up except the biceps. I ran out of 1 inch strap. I'll need to buy some moreeee
-
Close enough?
-
shots of blue milk for everyone, on me!
-
I was dead scared, but I took the risk and sewed some stuff today, yay!
-
did your SC kit came with 5 buckles? 4 for the thigh boxes and one for the closure of the belt on the back? and btw, do you mind taking some pictures of how your belt looks on the inside and how you strapped it all up? I know this might sound like the worst request ever but I'm REALLY stuck on the belt
-
also, it came with these things 4 buckles, shouldn't there be 5? one for the closure in the back of the belt? tank topper i think this black line is for the hump, and the red is for the red detail of the tank topper, right? there's also a grey sticker, i assume that it's supposed to go on the chest. i won't use it since the gray i used for the snout is darker, and the decals are a bit darker too

- continued 2 inch nylon strap 2 inch elastic strap short strap of 1.5" inch male side velcro 2 inch strap of male and female velcro

thanks for the pictures. i think i'll glue the belt pieces together with some E6000 question time... the kit came with lots of straps and velcroes.. can anyone tell me what they're for? a long strap of 1 inch velcro long strap of 1 inch black elastic long strap of white cotton. 1.5" am i supposed to cut it? a looooooong strap of white velcro, just the male side, 1.5" inches, it says in the instructions that i have to cut 30 squares, but what size should I cut it exactly?

Is there a tutorial or any build thread that shows how to build the belt? I'm really stuck here..
-
td built!

Question time: Since I'm not aiming for lancer, would it be okay if i just glue the tank to the back plate? I don't have a rivet gun to use And is there a pic intensive armor build around here that I could use for my build? English is not my first language so I'm having some problems with the instructions. and a silly question, in case i get a rivet gun, every time I've read 'washer' I have no idea what that is, what's a washer?
-
T bits glued with e6000 too
-
started with the td, used E6000 to glue the end caps and the greeblies I hope i'm doing this right lol
-
I'm guessing that a rivet gun is necessary for the build right? so with it I can assemble most of the armor?
-
The box is here... I already unpacked everything and I'm extremely overwhelmed by this... I don't know what to do, where to start, when to start, how to start, etc, etc

Just doing a last minute check... Here's all I've got so far: Boots made by Darth Vorhees (DVH) w/o flash w/ flash Helmet, which it's got the 3m bolts, MC snout, trooperbay decals and black cloth inside the helmet's ear area to create 'depth', as the crl states. ( I think) the whole piece was hand painted (not bad, huh?) cloth and cummerbund gloves and.... i had to do this... lol So, yeah. I believe all that i'm missing is the blaster and the armor itself. Hopefully that'll come one of these days

Awesome. Can't wait

anyone know?

Quick question, I live in Puerto Rico... does it counts as USA shipping or international shipping? After all, Puerto Rico is 'part' of USA.

KS bullet too big for Lancer?
BananoPower22 replied to Steamscout's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I think he is referring to the tank/hump/bullet thing that's on the back plate -
I'll probably end up sewing some velcro at the end of each strap and glue some velcro inside the cummerbund.. or something like that
-
Has anyone tried doing a suspender type of strapping that'll hold the cummerbund in place? Not elastic since it eventually stretches and loses its shape, but instead using nylon/cotton webbing? I think I'll do it like that so I won't have to replace the velcro every time it loses strength
-
Yup, the mando's ALMOST done. I just need to fix some things and i'm on the way to become an 'official' mandalorian. AAAAND after I'm done with the scout, I'll start working on a snow trooper..

Thanks! and for the cigar and scotch, i'll try to take a pix like that once i have all the armor built up
