Andy that would be great. We are going to QLD in May for the troop so I have a couple months yet
-
ok silly question here, I may need to have my helmet held tight and I have a KS one, not sure how or where I would put a chin cup and strap, I may need one for our Queensland troop as I have been told we get to ride the bikes

Mike I'm 4'11 and did a fear bit of moulding and triming, dont forget when making the soft parts to just size the pockets down a little, because you are sizing down the armor the soft parts need it also. A hint make the black undergarment a two piece your wife will love you for it, I just used a mens Black shirt and boys schools and did a little sewing to make them into the underarmor that they are. Good luck Mike

Katie, You look great, I'm 4'11 ....and agree With the guys Trimed the bells and the forearms, mould them a little more to your arm too, even if you feel like the knees may need it go for it, I had cut mine right down. Otherwise you looks Awesome, and you will get the a "a little short for a stormtrooper" I just say I'm not a stormtrooper "lol" If you need help in the measuring just PM me and I send you how much I cut off. Good luck. -

Hello Jean, I was told that KS is a smaller looking Helmet out of the two, so the KS is suited for the smaller person aka the Ladies of Pathfinders....I'm very short and found the KS Helmet a good choice.

So my bucket looks ridiculous on me...
M.J replied to Nicole's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Thank you Nicole ......I was sooooo scared I was going to turn up looking like a small person trying to wear big armor -
Nicole, I have found everyone does things a little differently, here are a couple of photo's on how I did mine, they may not be the best idea's but they seem to work okay. I used elastic and Velcro and my jumpsuit is a two piece. I found after a couple of troops my Cummberbun fell down so I made a harness This Armor is my sons (so its not approvable and its very old) but it is the same way I attached the top, I can seperate both front and back panels for storage if I wish.

Here are a couple of photos of my KS Helmet with my well and truley trimed down Armor...I am only 4'11 as long as you trim your armor down to your size you will be fine, My Helmet I had already Brought pre-assembled from KS. -

Congrats Joseph .....you where nearly sweet, just not sweet enough at 15 -
Recon I'm 4'11 .....I've found anything is possible. Trust me if she wants one it can be built, I even trimmed my own kit and that's saying something for a "coughs" way over 40 mum...I'm now experienced in dremiling ...well in my house anyways
-
Anton it looks like you trimed them as much as I did, I was lucky enough to look like a small Scout not a small person in a Scout, my Squad where pleasently suprised when they saw the finished product. The Boots are a big hurdle, the gun holster was too big for my leg, there was alot of thinking and redoing that darn thing. Please note, she can wear a two piece under her armor, I'm proud of the fact I can go to the ladies still in my armor, Mums (moms) tends to visit the ladies a tad more often than the normal trooper. I brought a black shirt (small Mens) and turned it into the upper half and found Kids black school pants (large kids) and unpicked the pockets I even have a back up set. I just remembered all that

Anton your wife's Amor looks alot like mine. It gave me alot of challenges along the line, good luck:)

Mike your not a snot one hopes that KS is reading this thread and taking in the information, to better their product and costumer service. If it looks shabby and a second they need to offer a discount or remake it before it is shipped out, it may take longer, I think every one would agree no ones can make perfection every time, but sending the item out with unacceptable flaws over seas is darn right neglectful on their part, and more threads like this will pop up. I myself would love to buy another KS bucket for my son but to get another one like mine I'm not going to at this stage. Another tit bit, being so naive I assumed all armor was the same I had purchased a topper from KS thinking it would fit my kit from another seller but it extremely large and no use to me, that of course is not their fault, but I was told later by a friend those toppers only fit their kits I wish they had mentioned this when I was ordering it, again it comes down to costumer service and communication. This is some constructive criticism KS I hope your taking it all in.

Maron, I too ordered and received a Helmet from KS already assembled, I found quite a few dents in mine and showed a few troopers they too thought it was a little much, I emailed KS I did get a quick reply but they too offered for me to send it back and offer another in return, this would be long turn around and an Extra postage from Australia, I had already waited over 2 months for the first Helmet. What concerns me the person assembling the Helmet either ignored the dents or didn't have their classes on, I agree that you do expect some dents but this was a little more. I opted to keep it but would think twice next time I order from KS. Another Trooper also ordered an assembled Helmet from KS they too had dents but compared to mine his was perfect. They should look at there quality and if there is a Helmet not to there satisfaction either offer discount or quickly make another before sending it out. Then they wouldn't be getting this bad advertisment. I got my Helmet in March this year, orded before xmas. cOwboi you got lucky

Mike with the undersuit for your little girl, Making a two piece which i did, just buy Black school pants unpick pockets and a boys Black shirt, fold down collar, replace buttons with velcro. Let me know if you need more idea's Being 4'11 and not wanting a full piece, having a two piece is Wonderful!
