Oh look what just turned up, I still need to drill the holes in the flash hider. But its looking pretty sweet stuck on the end there
-
Yup defo hot glue, E6000 would take far too long to cure and with the visor being under tension would cause issues. Hot glue and hold as Rob said works a treat
-
Yup the guys have nailed it, bund and pouches are defo too small and pouches the wrong way round. Shoulders do want to go up and in, belt needs to come down and drop box straps shortened. Thigh straps want to be re stitched slightly higher, looks like you need a balaclave also. Cant really comment on the vest sleeves as I cant really see where they are, just tweaks your rig looks sound all in all. So just tweaks needed

First of all you have done a great job on your scout, theres a couple of things firstly the pouches are quite wide apart, and shouldnt have any visable stitching where you have attached the velcro (internal stitching needed) I would recomend possibly to re sew the front bund verticle stitches, either drop one rib as thats still allowed (recomended) or sew the ones you have closer together to then allow you to bring in the pouches abit. Secondly the gloves look huge on you, are they too big for your hands? If they are fitting your hands ok then maybe re sew the cuff to make it tighter, its not a big job and other have done this before to loose the excess cuff. Do you have a chin cup for your bucket? -
Muzzle / flash hider should be with me by wednesday so saty tuned for pictures
-
We have some petite lady scouts on here that have achieved it, without too many issues so yes its possible. But like BJ said MC is a much smaller set of armour all round

what do i do if my boots get small?

Yup what they said lol, holster is an easy change -
Forgot to say one of my Garrison buddies has come to my rescue with the muzzel / flash hider so that is now under way and being machined out of ali
-
Not too much to report, barrel came back from the welders, needs filling and spraying but it fits well. I may well make a angled section where the barrel meets the reciever to make that area a little pleasing on the eye. But its starting to take shape

Hey bud well the thigh elastics are just 50mm (2") black elastic available from anywhere. The thigh suede most buy from Tandy leather, choose the thinnest black pig suede they sell. Size wise well everyone is different mate, you will need to print out the pattern on here and then re size it untill t looks the right scale on you and sew. Tuck the thigh elastic under the edges of the suede as you sew in on. Its best to mark all the way around the suede with chalk before sewing and also mark the position of the elastic so you know 100% where everything needs to be
-
Its probably just the angles ect but these boots look really long and thin?
-
They do look tight enough mate, Im just not sure they are a great donor boot to use due to the lace set up. But give it a go what you got to loose

Can you please host the pictures so they can be seen on this forum mate, makes life a lot easier for everyone to view them The photo bucket site has been all over the place of late, I cant see anything on your link -
SC used to supply some awesome gloves that were really well fitted. I wonder if they could be persuaded to get more as my misses needs some also and id like anouther pair
-
Nah alls good bro, I appreciate you trying to help. I got the barrel back today so will get busy with the filler and get that sucker painted up
-
I use 50mm cotton webbing on my sc but they are built bigger, just make the slots 35-40mm the webbing will go bud
-
Yes hes the chap I mentioned bro, all depends on costs really
-
The welding is fine mate thank you, my college are doing it. Just not very quick as they are doing it as a favour. Its getting the muzzel machined out of ali which is the issue bud.
-
Still no updates im affraid, My barrel isnt back as it is being done as a favour they dont seem to be rushing it. And the misses bro cant do the muzzel so going to have to pay to get that done, Ive hopefully found a guy on the UKG who maybe able to do it, how much for though I dont know. But I will have a go at casting it for sure.
-
I used epoxy glue, and give it a bit of a build up around the edges. Mine havent come off to date and they have been stuck for about 4 years now.
-
A T shirt pattern is fine to follow, just remember to open the neck wider and have a 2" (50mm) black velcro closure at the back. The sleeves want to end just slightly longer tham the shoulder bells. Not too much though as it then upsets your bicep armour
-
I use the rom/fx system, rom and batteries in one pouch and nokia hands free speaker in the other pouch, wire up into the bucket with mic
-
Because scout armour comes as is, and doesnt really get sized too much. You will proobably have the other effect of the armour looking a touch to big on you which you will then grow into rather than growing out of bud., But yeah as the others have said its the soft parts that you will grow out of I guess mostly
-
I certainly wouldnt make them any smaller as the height is right for your size, move them out slightly and less padding will give the apperance of smaller pouches. The smaller pouches I do would then be far to short for your height, so wouldnt be any good bro. I woud say they are just way too padded and boxy looking which is causing the problem
