  1. Well, being a boob to armor building how am I supposed to know what's a bad pull, bad mold, or just plain bad? Yes, it's an easy fix, and Jeff helped me out with that. As for the thread title, I thought it might be a bad pull, so I titled it that way. So yes, the title did fit the thread in the beginning. Jeff knows I'm not out there to flame him or make him look bad. Armor makers can do bad pulls. Doesn't mean that their armor is garbage though. I understand that this is the season where they get busy, and some things can be rushed. But hey, Jeff e-mailed me and gave me good pointers, and I pointed out a flaw that he will fix so others don't have the problem I had. So all in all, it worked out for everyone. And I know you're not trying to upset anyone, or me...but you have, and I hate you. I kid, I kid!!! NO worries bro, if it's one thing I've learned here is that the 501st is like one big disfunctional happy family, and I wouldn't have it any other way. And for Scouts, it just seems like Scouts are a more tight knit group anyways, which other then my love for them, is what made me want to do one. Everyone here have been nothing less then great, not just to me, but to everyone. But yes, the title was right to begin with, but is no longer. As I can not change it, maybe Mod or Admin can, or even close the thread since the problem has been solved?
  2. D'oh...why must you make me want to spend more money? Outstanding job. If you produce, are you going to do black as well?
  3. I'll try that this weekend, and thanks Dave for the link, and anytime, Jeff.
  4. Just checked and yeah a 1/4" might work, but it's really not that bad. I thought the shoulder tabs would be too short as well, but with another set of hands helping, they actually don't seem too bad either. Let me play with it a little more and see how things work out, but let me know what you come up with as well. Also, any good tips on fabric and how to go about covering up the joints when I have the shoulder tabs done? Thanks Jeff, already you've helped by pointing small things out that I didn't notice.
  5. Was just wondering if anyone has gotten any bad pulls, or bad trims on this. So far everything has been great. Then I go to attach the tank using the method that Witness used. It worked like a charm, though for the life of me I could not get the tank to set on there totally centered. Upon looking further, I noticed the bottom right of the back plate is trimmed or formed about 1/2 inch shorter then the left. Also, the piece that goes over the right shoulder is cut shorter. Here are some pics. I e-mailed SC asking him about it, just thought I'd ask you all here what you thought, and if it's an easy fix to make it look good...or normal.
  6. I just ordered some from an online store since my local Joannes was out. Got a couple yards of 2" and a few yards of 1.5" white cotton webbing.
  7. Just keep in mind that if you plan on going Lancer, straps aren't approved.I'm liking the magnet idea myself.
  8. Agreed. I've ordered SC for my armor. Def do your homework, and don't by cheap for the sake of buying cheap. Unless you get a really good deal on something. There's a reason you see SC and MC posting here, and not Atin.
  9. My initial thought was that it looked like a KS, but Dave pointed out the obvious flaws. I would just go with what's reliable. I ordered a KS and can't wait for it to arrive.
  10. I was told that for Lancer status you had to have dark lenses, not green. Hmm...if that's not the case then I might have to switch them out on the KS when it comes in. You don't have to have the chin strap for Lancer do you?
  11. D'oh..had to edit. Funny how looking on this board via your phone..didn't realize this was a KT boot thread..lmao. Those boots do look nice, but aren't cheap. Nice though.
  12. Gah...another person starting their armor build. I have everything BUT the armor ordered, but that gets ordered next Friday. Good luck with the build.
  13. Just reading this, you guys are killing me lol. Get this, don't get this. You're going to confuse the guy. I was going to go for the MLC v3 as I had heard it was the most accurate of the fan made buckets. I know KS needs some modding. So what's better, the MLC v2? Help us newbs out lol
  14. Congrats! Hope to join the ranks one day.
  15. Def one of the most helpful. Congrats!
  16. Seeing your progress pics just makes me want to hurry up and start putting one together. So much great stuff here on this board. Everything looks great. Good job.
