When I did a pair that I was going to use on my shadow scout build (which ha been put on hold) I used a square ended blade on my x-acto knife.
-
Oooo looks good so far.

Like Chunk said, I have a 24 gallon stanley for the scout. I can get everything in there if I have to. I just use a helmet bag for the bucket instead so I'm not cramming it all in. Actually found a nice 30 gallon bin here that everything would fit comfortably in..but I'm not paying $80 for it.

You're almost there brother. -
Since you have those flaps coming up from the pouches, those should velcro up under the chest armor and hang down since you have them. Your riding patch. Could you post a pic of the back of your suit with the suede flap lifted up. I'd like to see your inner thigh suede. Justin hit on the hip boxes. Def wanna even those out on the hips so that they aren't riding too far forward. Looking good though! As for the bucket, you might just need to pad it more so it doesn't sit all the way down. They can tend to do that on short troopers.

KS- Wip (current state of affairs)
Chex replied to shdwtrpr13's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
You're off to a good start. With the KS, it can be a little wonky in some places. You just have to make it work and look the best you can, and you're doing a good job. Keep it up. -
That remains to be seen. I've seen some scouts, as well as some TDs that were just way too over weathered. They were still allowed to march canon events, but we def given recommendations to tone it down.
-
Ideally you want your pouches at the edges of the last vertical ribs on your bund. You should have all those vertical ribs showing. Your strapping should match your pouch color and your hip boxes could come up a little. All in all not a bad build. Looking good.

Hate to say it, and ask it of you, but we're discussing the UKG sticker on your shoulder bell. I understand it's a clearance reward, but that shouldn't be on your bell for Lancer submission pics. If it's possible for you to remove it and resubmit a full frontal with out it, that would be great. -
Cool. I edited your post so your pic shows up. Just use the IMG link that photobucket gives you.

TB-6827 Request Lancer Status (PENDING)
Chex replied to Jasmine33's topic in Lancer Deployment Request
Still need to see no visible stich lines on the pouch flaps..and still slightly wider neck on the vest. And you mentioned the boots already. You're getting close, Jasmine. Keep at it! -
Looks good!

Remember, Lancer is all about fit and finish too. You can have all the components to make it, but if it doesn't look right, then it doesn't look right. Knowing you, you'll get it to look how you need it to.

Biker Scout shoulder bells and a lip around them
Chex replied to lonewolf's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Agree with Marcel on that. It's great though how we continue to find the littlest things to make the costume that much more accurate. -
Looks good. I would notch out the part where the heel starts and make it a straight 90 degree angle, instead of the slight angle that it has. Make sense?

Dane, if you have any questions, let us know. Or just shoot me a PM over on the Florida boards as well.

Also, make sure that the horizontal stitch line on your bund is covered up by your chest armor, or removed. And make sure that your bund never peaks out below you belt, even in the back. -
The primer I used was a rustoleum auto primer (light grey), recommended to me by Evo3. Then I used a rustoleum gloss white. The expensive can lol. Make sure you wet sand between coats with some fine grit paper. I tend to stay away from testors, but that's just a preference since I use Tamiya acrylics when I paint.
-
Not bad. I'd have gone a little lower with the middle line on the back.

Don't have a Kashyyyk Trooper, but I'll be there none the less.
