ok still on the look out for some nice options for these boots - how about these boys? Nate
-
agree with Mr Bungle lots of shoes actually have this pronounced arch - esp.ly the tactical boots. But its that angular portion, thats wot people look for - shoes like the GBX 2 buckle motorcycle, kenneth coles or Ben Stus. not a bad base if u arent too fussed though. Nate

excellent!

wow - I am liking the belt/buckle piece that link I sent u shows how one guy did his GM shins with holes cut just lateral to the front raised bit - is that how u are going to go for strappin the shins in too? -
interested pending price mate my budget supplier may have run into trouble with the police (not for the gloves, apparently he was selling night sticks, which are illegal here), and the other options didnt make the grade by the experts here. Nate

Int: Kc Style Boot For Kashyyyk trooper

thanks for response guys. well at the moment - the guy is only negotiating for the black sole as he is coming in from the Jango side of things. options will be made available if numbers are good. when the TDHer went to see the caboots rep - he had figures in the 50-70 range. we were hoping that numbers could double if clones were involved; but so far response has been rather muted size will also be an issue Frank - the last guy to go a attempt at a run needed at least 10 size 13-14's before his maker would comtemplate making those sizes. will get back to u on that one once we can get a better estimate on numbers. Nate -
theres an interesting topic over on TDH. theres a guy who lives close to caboots - and he has made direct contact with the folks over there topic here: http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31240 I know army scout tried the same route back in 2006. but this time the initial respones has been.... hopeful to say the least. heres the response he got: bare in mind - this is mostly for the Jango Fett costume, but the base boot is the same. in an effort to drum up numbers, I have said I would post on his behalf on clone forums. this is to gauge interest so we can get a quote from caboots - no agreements on run on availability have been made yet! pls post here - and I will liase with Gee2 on TDH hopefully. Falcon - I was lookin at the pair of gloves u posted they coud work if we sew on an extra leather pad or potentially a resin plate like the TKs or regular clones?

can any1 tell I am excited abt new armour coming out now Mr Bungle has got himself a nice set of GBX2 - which every1 knows is hard to find. I have stumbled across these that look the biz : they arent cheap though - coming in at abt $100, which tbh, the 2nd hand market for GBXs is abt $80, isnt that bad. they are the Ridge Air-Tac boots - and its the original design (which the police still use), not the new ones which look like this: ok kashyyyyk troopers - DISCUSS! right update on emails sent no replies from the prop supplier guy and delving into the background, he has had some issues in teh past abt selling 'police-like' stuff. So still waiting as he seems to supply the closest looking glove for the cheapest price. got a reply from the guy who supplies this glove and they look very similiar but cost a whopping £36.43. Ah I love living in the UK. updates as I get em guys. and falcon - nice base, but wot would u suggest for the second pad?

wot did u think of Torments Gree? heres a link - http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/forums/show...;highlight=gree once I get some real life stuff out of the way, will experiment with some UK colours as well -
based on ur comments - I am goign to get a pair from the prop compnay - ie the set u see in the 2nd picture in the 1st post. I am gettin 3 in the 1st instance based on some initial interest. Any1 else wants a pair? contact with the company is via email only, and they only accept postal cheque or bank cheques - yeesh , that the UK for yer. so gonna write to em, wait for reply, send cheque, get THAT cleared, before tehy will send the stuff off. Nate

either way Frank - if u cant get em directly, I am happy to get some sorted for US troopers will call em monday to see abt availability and sizing both sites say they will post internationally: (1) the top one costs £34 (abt $52) and is ex-police items; so they are used http://shop2.actinicexpress.com/shops/X_Me...ListPageIndex=2 (2) this is a uk prop company that does them , and only cost £16!! (abt $25) http://www.policelot.com/uniform_clothing.htm for u US guys, the breakthrough for me came when I searched using RIOT GLOVES - it gives up all these padded type gloves. some info on UK glove sizing too: UK Glove Sizing: Extend your hand flat and with a tailor's measuring tape, wrap it around the strongest hand just below the knuckles and fingers, but above the thumb and make a loose fist. Round the measurement up to the nearest inch and refer to the following conversion for your approximate glove size. 8" Small 9" Medium 10" Large 11" XLarge 12" XXLarge pm's going to Frank and TOm Billy - u're in UK, but you think more interest can be sparked in UKG? Nate ps omg - have I FINALLY made a useful contribution to the forums???? does that mean I can stay now? ;P
-
dont think so - at the moment a few emails have been sent off to ask more questions. but colour alone shouldnt be a big problem official UK government issue police gloves for crowd control are the top 2 bottom 2 are motocycle gloves - black only

that length works for me too guys thansk for offer btw Billy, but gettin stuff from Mr Bungle over next few months, so hopefully Tom wont mind being my US contact? In fact might be able to offer u a reverse favour, another pair of gloves probably wont affect the amount of stuff I have having sent over from Alabama - as long as Mr Bungle is ok with it Nate -

things seem a lot worse recently. I've had 2 shipments go missing recently. most times, I have asked makers to mark it as Star Wars toy or just toy. recently had a biker lid and some gloves imported from canada. Took abt 3 months, but it finally arrived w/o incident. legal reasons? damn, wot if we simplify the glove even more and then add stuff to it? Nate -
