  1. HOLY MOLY that thing ROCKS! awsome job dude, great paint job too. So now the question is how fast can you make more and for how much? Becuase brother I am in for sure on your work.
  2. Those would be a good choice to use.
  3. I think this is the closest to the movie pants even thou they are CG, but if they were dyed using a dark grey or some black and not leaving them in the dye for to long. They should look great then. The only trouble is they are Russian and US made, we all might have trouble getting them.
  4. WOW guys rock with the time and and skill of making the armor, I can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Good luck and keep us posted.
  5. I would leave the weapons at just the weapons used in the movie, the way Lucas had them and nothing more. Stay true to the true store that Lucas wrote not someone else.
  6. Check this out new screen shot-
  7. Yet another good picture of the boot looking at the sole this time-
  8. OK guys here are some more pictures pulled from the dvd today of the gloves this time. Tell me what you think- I think that they are gauntlets with a "V" shape opening in the back and the gray so called armor area is a flap to hold it closed tight to the forearm, the 2 black lines below that look to be stiching.
  9. OK here are some new pictures from Ep3 from the ash plante Mygeeto these guys wear the same boots but all white. They aslo wear the same knee armor as well.
  10. I'd have to say that the black boots above are the best choice and can be painted, and cut down in size also the liner removed so they wont be so hot.
  11. I found a boot maker in Canada that makes custom boots if I send him some pictures of what I am looking for. (I just pulled some really good pictures of the boots from the dvd. I also seen that the clones who kill Ki-Adi-Mundi, they wear the same boots only white.) So he can look them over and give me a price on making them the right color and such. I will also tell him they should be no higher then a pair of work boots just over the ankle and have laces or be slip on. As soon as I email him the pictures and get the info back from him I will post it here.
  12. OK I'll keep looking.
  13. What about these boots guys? http://www.shoemall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?family_id=14767
  14. Try this guy, ask him if he can make a pair or even make the soles or something, he makes great hand made boots. http://motorcowboy.zoovy.com/
  15. On these if you use a dark gray dye on them you would get the look your looking for on them.
  16. Yes it is, I did the stop frame by frame at that sceen and zoomed in to see some things and you can see that is a DC-15.
  17. Keep in mine that when airbrushing matiral it sometimes does not stay the way you airbrushed after the first washing, it will fade. Also you need to heat set the paint real good, and make sure you use the right airbrush paint. You'll just be wasteing you time if not. You guys are on the right track with the Russian camo idea, if you can get some, use a dark brown or dark green dye but do not use the whole box or bottle, make it weak using less so it does not over power the camo to much. Keep up the great work guys.
  18. Hey guys I watched ROTS again today and stopped the movie at a place where you can really see by zooming in. If you goto here you can zoom in and see the soft armor pretty good to get a look at it along with some other parts too. Chapter 30 1:23:08 zoom in full You'll be able to see the soft armor in detail of the cummberbund and boxs. On the pants and boots goto Chpater 30 1:23:12 zoom in full and pan up to see the pants pan down for the boots. You also can make out the inside suede or neoprene that might be used in making the inside leg area like on the scout uniform. It has a black stich all the way around the outside of it. The gloves can be seen in many of these same frames, they very diffrent in they'er own way. These gloves may have to be made from scratch. Lots of sewing and stiching on them. Also on the inside suede area, the cod piece it looks to be sewen in place, there is no strap going under to the back like the scout uniform does. This piece stops right at the suede line. Some of the pouches look to be hard boxs not soft, the smaller ones. I hope this will help you guys taking on this project.
