I've still got a bit to go yet James. Cummberbund is due to arrive early next month, still got the rest of the boxes to cover and the shin armour is to make.

I keep getting sidelined by other projects ( my own ARF trooper and a few commissions for other people ).

You'll probably beat me mate ;)

I'm still waiting for the armour but the rest is done bar weathering the pouches... Sounds like a level playing field :)

Game on! ;)

Man.... I hate covering foam boxes with fabric

So far I've done 6 ( 12 left to do ).

What do you guys think of the camo, OK?

Looking good!

Oddly enough I found the velcro placement on the 'bund to be more painful than the pouches. But not a huge job. And at least you are a 3rd of the way thru ;)

Looks freaking sweet , That is what I am doing right now working on ammo pouches listening to floyd drinking Molsen Golden. What kind of material are you using what color is that a canves ?

Just a fairly 'open' weave cotton Joe. Colour wise it's a light tan, but I'm giving a dusting of the colour I used as the armour basecoat.

They look great!!! Better than mine.

Hey! Now wait a minute!

That camo ARF helmet just doesn't look right in that picture.

I think you need to ship it to me for proper inspection! :D (And the armor that goes with it!) ;)

Had a test fit of the biceps and forearm armour for the first time. The biceps still need attaching to the camo suit with velcro.

A bit of tweaking needed yet, but getting there slowly.

The cummberbund is also on it's way from the USA.

They are awesome looking 'bunds Debbi does, I am planning on upgrading to one of those down the track. Wasn't she talking about shoulder straps? Can't see 'em in the picture...

How you looking now Darren... much else left to paint 'n polish?

Update

Got the straps attached to the knees, so they're finished.

Thanks to my darling wife the velcro has begun to be stitched onto the cummberbund with the first 4 in place.

I know that some have said that the small upper box over the right larger box has no flap, but other's say it's a visual blip on the CGI models, so I've made one both with flap and one without ( pic shows the non-flap one ).

More to follow.......

Here's a little teaser pic........

Got the bicep armour padded and sitting nicely and my wife has stitched the velcro onto the cummberbund for the first 6 boxes ( 4 at the front at the 2 either side of the rear boxes ).

I realise that I'm gonna need a little tweaking here and there ( I think I need to wear the cummberbund slightly higher for example ).

Seem to be getting LOADS done this week, so hopefully I'm back on track.

Till the next........
