I found a wip thread in here awhile back, and cant find it now showing how a member made it. I prefer to be lazy on this one and Buy it. Anyone have any info or a link to a vendor/member who sells them? Or how to make if i absolutely have to.

Thanks PF's 😁👊

I guess my question is .... why?  You don't need it for the ROTJ Scout at all.

If you want a neck seal, plenty of vendors make them (try Imperial boots).  But it's not in the CRL for the ROTJ Scout.

As Mickey said, it's not needed for the ROTJ scout. If you're still looking to pick one up, Darman Props makes a very comfortable custom sized fabric neck seal.

Not required totally get that. I thought Its worn in rotj? I also saw it used for an rotj scout wip somewhere in here.. I like also how it connects the flight to the bucket. Looks great imo. But mainly for a build I'm deciding on.

I am looking at a future JFO down the line basically. That or Shadow scout. JFO will come easy on the wallet, Shadow ofc will not.

Thanks @Chopper for the link 👊.

Thanks @BikerScout007 for tryin to save me money 😂🙏

There is one shot in ROTJ (the blue screen scout) where if you zoom in, turn up the brightness all the way, and squint, you can kinda see a neckseal.   Maybe.  Could be a crumpled up balaclava too.

The Costumes book and ROTJ Blu Ray Scouts were also dressed (improperly) to display the neck seal.  Folks gotta remember, the mannequins for both of those media were dressed some 30 years after the movie was shot and not by the original costume department.

In every other scene in ROTJ where you can clearly see the Scout's neck, there is no sign of a neck seal.

We've been told by a source who saw the Scout costumes in the archives that neckseals were worn under the collar of the flight suit, which means they can't be seen from the outside.

And as you know, we don't make requirements on things that cannot be seen from the outside.  We don't require you to wear socks or underwear either!  :D

Hahahaha. Ok mickey. I got one more question then:

Where do i find Plastic Liners for my pouches that fit nicely? I seen only one person on instagram with them, and they are perfect for my electronics. Got any leads on that action? Chopper prolly knows i bet too...you both alone have seen more scout related items and info than i ever will in my lifetime. Might as well ask...😅

@MrPoopie made some that could be 3D printed.

I just use a block of foam, with a cavity cut into it so I can store my phone and trading cards!

Cant boss. I store my wireless electronics and louder than ever needs to be speaker in other. I use hard cardboard that fit nicely, topped off with said foam to cover top nice and flat. I ask only because im finicky when it comes to organization and such is all.

Btw....

That is part of Mickey’s "Baller Style" 😂😂😂😂

Depends on how big you make the foam cavities.  My speaker fits in mine just fine.

This is a matter of personal preference.  I personally don't like seeing pouches that are too perfectly square, because they weren't that way in the film.  Your mileage may vary

I do this as well. I grabbed some green foam from Joanne's and cut it to the size of the pouch. Just put the speaker in there.

I Must of led you all astray with my verbage or lack of. I was curious about the plastic ones so i could have a cleaner looking and more organzied set up inside basically (which it is already, just a bit cramped). I  do what you fellas do currently as well kind of if im guessing correctly.

Check it:

The foam on top makes the pouches less uniform as mickey stated. Plus the boxes i use are just a bit smaller so the pouches aren't totally square as well. The plastic ones tho mickey would make them look totally square and never used type look.

Christian is shipping my flight suit this week, that will improve the whole outlook as well i do believe.

Super excited.

As you already know @BikerScout98 I have a regular TK and TX Shadow trooper. The neck seal that is required to wear while in those those kits can be quite uncomfortable at times and mine, at least, holds in a lot of heat. I don't recommend adding an extra layer that isn't required. Plus no one is really going to see it.

As far as your pouch boxes, I know some people use left over abs plastic to form a nice hollow box insert. I've done it before but found that it caused unnecessary weight to my pouches and ditched the idea and just used foam. Plus, like @BikerScout007, I didn't like the perfectly symmetrical box look.   With that being said, I just inherited a boat load of 3mm sintra for our Mando Merc Clan and we have plenty to go around. It's perfect for making custom hollowed boxes, like you are looking for. I will facetime with you later this week to show you how to build them and send you some of the sintra.

I recently printed MrPoopie’s inserts for my pouches and just insert them backwards. They are four-sided, front, bottom, right and left side, but the back is open. By reversing them, so that the open back faces the front of the pouch, the pouch maintains its shape, doesn’t sag, but is allowed to bulge in the front once stuffed with my keys, wallet, phone, trading cards, etc. giving it a more natural look.

Of course if you go the JFO route, you don’t need to worry about pouches and you get your next seal .

Thats good to know that boss as I was hoping to be able to put my phone in as well for cheeky trooping pics.

Was looking at small sections of plastic card but would you say the foam was a better option? Could get either easily enough

I've been using the foam blocks for years now and they've worked well!
