  1. Silly question: do the pouches velcro to the bund by the tabs? Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  2. Getting close. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  3. Pouch base finished. I dreaded these, but so far, so good. I think, lol. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks brother! I'll have this up and running in no time [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  5. I used Dennis' pattern and did most of the cod piece. I doubled up the batting and added a piece of felt on the inside back. The strap is not attached yet. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  6. And the belt is sewn together too. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  7. And, done! Right over left in the back with the proper hook and loop placement. 1" ribs centered on the front. Not perfect, but neither were the originals [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  8. I used lightweight 4 oz bunting, folded in half so it's doubled up like in the tutorial. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  9. How is this as far as the thickness of the cummerbund? It feels too puffy, but looks "similar" to the back of the actual costume. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  10. Are there any good tutorials on the cod piece? I can't seem to locate one. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  11. Let's get this thing done! Measured, cut and ironed the material for the cummerbund. White thread is set and ready to go in the machine. Tomorrow, we sew! Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  12. Not part of this build, but I got a surprise in the mail today [emoji6]. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  13. Please forgive the awkward, unflattering pictures. How does this look for belt/drop box placement? Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  14. The older kit I have didn't come with the proper belt clips for the TD, so I picked some up from Amazon and attached them. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  15. Once my build is done, I might have to sand those down and just install real screws. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  16. My "lightly" weathered EC-17 Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  17. And BOOM! Just need to trim down the webbing for a good fit, and attach the drop box straps in the back. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  18. After all of that abs paste work, guess what arrived today?! [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  19. I know it'll be some time before my replacement belt and drop boxes arrive. My goal is to get what I have passable for level 1. The drop boxes had really weird cutouts for the belt. So I glued patches is, made my first batch of abs paste, and filled the holes. Thankfully, this area is mostly covered by the straps. Clean up coming later. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  20. Cummerbund and cod material arrived, but not the batting. I dread the soft parts! [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  21. Question -- is this the correct alignment for the parachute clips? I've been watching the video and staring at the CRL. But I want to make sure. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  22. Nothing is anchored in place yet with velcro, which is why my shoulder bells are out of place. But I wanted to get a feel for things so far. So I did a quick suit up. Let me know your general thoughts. I'll be starting the vest next. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  23. I picked up the 3/4 inch elastic even though 1/2 inch is ok. The top straps were attached with 1/8 inch aluminum rivets. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
  24. Shoulder bells trimmed and rounded. I've also attached the zip ties and mounts. Question on the knees. The previous owner of the armor cut the strap slots to accommodate 1" elastic -- which is fine for basic approval. But will that be a problem is I use 1/2 inch elastic as per the level 2 guidelines? 25. Forearms: Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
