TreeHuggerMatt Scout Trooper ( ROTJ ) WIP
TreeHuggerMatt replied to TreeHuggerMatt's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
Im the same Dennis , before I moved to Edinburgh my whole career has been in manufacturing / engineering on shifts in safety boots so im very much using insoles etc. The lace system attracted me as its similar to the nike vapor system where you pull it tight and it locks in place so its still an idea. Like you both said , try it and see when they get here eh. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row 😀 -

Ahh cool. I’m open to options and even if I don’t use them they won’t go to waste as I’ll just put them on a pair of the gf’s eldests trainers. He’s autistic and his gross motor skills aren’t great so they’ll come in useful either way 😀 -
Looking forward to being a part of the forum and then a part of the legion and the friendliest detachment of them all. The welcome I have received and the help so far I have gotten has been wonderful and the culture here is fantastic. That starts at the top table so well done to all in charge and to everyone else thats a part of this fantastic place Here's to this year 😀

Chefs Thermal Detonator
TreeHuggerMatt replied to TreeHuggerMatt's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Cheers Corey. Great pics They look pretty much identical from the image I could see. As always you're a star buddy -
Hi folks , hope you all had a good weekend. I was wondering if anyone happened to have some images of the chefs thermal det that is provided as part of the armour set. It looks pretty good going of the website image but cant really zoom in that far and as busy as Rob is I dont want to bug him for something like this. As I know a few folks use his excellent stuff I was hoping someone had , or could take , a bigger photo for me TIA

Will do. I’ve had a quote for getting a 19 printed that seems ok. Using the thingiverse files that @AradunFFprinted There’s a guy on Etsy that does kits that have all gotten great reviews and are designed to be easy to assemble and sort so that’s a possibility. Guys called premier props. -
Here we go then. Still a way of actually starting the process fully but at least I know now where im going to get everything from and sorted. Chefs Creations - Armour, Helmet, Flightsuit, Flak Vest, Bund/Pouches and Boots with blaster - This should help with the fitting as will be tailored to me. Wampa Wear or Imperial Boots - scout gloves Mando Makes - either DLT-19x or DLT-20A That's gonna get me through the gate and trooping but im also looking at clearing either a 19X or 20A. They will probably be 3d files printed by a firm nearby then I'll prep , assemble and paint This will be a long time in the making but its a start. Can't wait

If they ever do then if you could let me know that would be lovely.. `Other than for the lineage angle im from Manchester where RS is based near and it'd be a little slice of home too hehe

Just had a quick look at the USPS site and according to the notice posted 17/9/2021 ( the date the right way 😛 ) the outage only affects.affected priority mail international . Sure one of our US chums who knows more about the USPS products can help with what would be able to be delivered

dude. thats awesome. cheers!!
-
Hey @AradunFF Hope you dont mind me poking the thread but I was wondering if you happened to have a pic of yourself trooping with the blaster? Thanks in advance
-
Congrats fella!!

Cheers for the gram link. I meant to ask because I’m not cleared yet I don’t have access to that forum section yet Follow request sent mate
-
@Barber Sorry but I forgot to ask you if you happen to have a kitted photo of you with the 20? No bother if you haven't dude
-
That video is really useful and it’s made me not worry at all about doing it now.
-
Aww thanks Dennis that’s really nice I’d you to say. I was reading your lancer thread earlier , I’m certainly not thinking about that but it was more about the little detail stuff that can just add to it. Even for basic clearance or if not to ease my mind if I did wanna upgrade. That’s said the chefs kit seems 90% that far anyway 😀 thanks again for your kind words and help so far.
-
Think I’m gonna get concentrate on getting built cleared and trooped for now. Worry bout the blaster later
-
Dont doubt it.. 😀 On the back of the scout video I watched the shore one is good too. Of the none OT films I adore rogue 1 immensely

Can understand what ya mean. That said I much prefer this side of the argument in that the pathfinder side is what appealed to me most so here I stay 🙂 Just wish I was skinny enough to get in a Shoretrooper kit too lol
