Great Job chadD! If you know someone who can sew with a machine ....have them do it! Although it could be done by hand just have patience!
-
Yes, it is cool looking. I was looking last night at the member list and was looking for yours and thought the mods super seeded pathfinders and kst. I guess I thought right according to brotherhalo

I would use VELCRO and I have about 12 troops in my KST, not including SWW, 3 of those were High profile events in close quarters. I have not lost any and no one has tried to remove them from me. I think because of the uniqueness of the cameo job you will get more compliments and excitement of people admiring the cameo. For some reasons parents seem to be more cautious when I am in my KST than my Scout! I used the sticky velcro on the back of the pouches and covered the whole backside of the pouch. chadD post them pics! I need to get my pouches!
-
Thank you! now we have a place to call home! The few, The proud, The KST are here to stay!

Awseome work Frank!

That's right!

WOW! I told my seamstress to hold off since the ideas are pouring out with pics...looking good! I may need a whole new suit! Great job John and Andrew for ref the pics! In the older post I remember the mole/tactical vest with out the vertical lines were mentioned and Johns model resembles a mole/tactical vest.

Yes, I think its olive drab....in the older post that is what everyone was leaning too...so I dyed mine green..but it looks like more people have the ref pic as I didn't have any ref pic when I built my KST!

Sci-Fire Kashyyk Scout Trooper Helmet progress...
Lonescout replied to postmortem01's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Armor/Helmet
Looks Awesome! -
I have seen this pic and like I always stated all we need KST then things like this needs to be under a KST (Lancer status). A lot of the defined details of this costume you cannot even see on screen. My 2 cents! Good work Andrew!

Sci-Fire Kashyyk Armor Project

Yea! who gets the first set of free Armour...Armour Stimulus Package (ASP)! -
I used a brush on mine also and plan on it on another kit...Now ChadD ...strap on the armor to give us a test fit...pics..pics...pics...

The cummer will be all white and you would have to do the dyeing. So, they are not going to be pre-dyed! But the fabric will be dye-able. I agree with the different colors in the movie and in the reference images! The velcro will not be added since the positioning of pouches will be different from person to person.
-
The pics do look like fabric! I know I stated the cod piece didn't...has MB submitted the CRL's for the KST! At this point their is not right or wrong way until the CRL's are set! I think at this point try to do your best and if you want to add the fabric go for it and post your progress! I know we discuss a Lancer type for the KST in older post. Therefore, several parts of the costume may need to be Lancer specific. I know several kst has added fabric and several like myself have purchased German military ammunition pouches and painted them up! Works for me until CRL's are changed. But then again I am the green swamp monster as my base color is different and I overdid my green wash. I don't think cloth or non-cloth is going to make a huge difference at this point!

500 credits! Here are some pics. My seamstress, Marty, made the first one in green and the white one she made during this past summer which I plan to dye this weekend. As you can see the lines are nice and straight. Comparison pics. The un-dyed one is a better fit for me as it is 2 inch taller for my stature. Inside comparison as yours will be white. We just used left over material. Trial and error and corrected it! Looks better with the Velcro in the correct position. On mine I added Velcro to the bottom of the cummerbund and the underside of my belt has Velcro. Never had any problems with the belt separating... The belt is one inch as other threads are discuss as large as 2 inch. Added the sports zipper w/ bigger teeth Basically you get the whole cummerbund, except for the Velcro for your pouches and the black velcro(which I used on the center of my belt). Marty can sew a 2 inch piece of material to act as a belt for those who may want it but it will not be attached to the cummerbund as you will also want to position the belt, Velcro, & pouches at the same time.. this will be different for each person. You can see pencil marks in the last pic and I positioned all my pouches then traced the pouches and this was Martys guide to sew the Velcro for each pouch. We are coming up with a price. Post feed back as to what you think about the cummerbund in the pics!

My seamstress is considering sewing them up!.... post if you may be interested. More details to come!
-
Mocha, yes! You may be able to dye the leather/suade!
-
I'll ask my seamstress as to what the cloth we used was. I know it was 100% cotton as the Cummerbund has to be dyed!
-
My seamstress cut the cloth 1 1/2 inch and tuck a quarter inch on each side then sewed the elastic and the cloth together, repeating each step to the desired width.
-
I know it looks like fabric for the cod piece and I spoken to awesome clone builders that have seen the ref pics it may just be CGI lines as Si-fire has this as hard armor in their build I think is it just hard armor! In the old threads it was considered hard armor painted up.
-
The KST cummerbund will wrap around you and be as high as your chest and as low as your waist and it will be sized to fit each Individual. I spoke to my seamstress who made mine and as long as you keep the cloth, elastic going till it fits and add the ends with the vleco/zipper remembering they over lap like the scout's. Also the top and bottom are covered by 1/2 inch material to cover the ends of the elastic and cloth.
-
No! I don't have a patterns drawn up but if you follow this in the first pic, this is how my seamstress did it. The zipper/velco area is the same as the Biker Scout cumberbund. C - E - C - E --------------- 2" 1" 2" 1" etc.... Cloth(2) Elastic (1)
