    Clamps are on the tube: Just need to add the endcaps. Project "leather boots" has started. I only got hold of white leather with a bit to much structure, so the first thing was to straighten out the leather. Here you see the original state on the left and the dogbones and caps on the right. The shaft leather will follow next week:

    The clips are painted and drying right now. I got hold of an old speaker cable with 3mm diameter, still not the right form, but the colour looks good:

    For 2) it is easy to answer: just seal the cut end with a lighter. Heat it up until it melts shut. You can squeeze it a bit with your fingers afterwards, but keep in mind melted rubber and nylon is hot. So if you don't have thick scallus on your fingers, better use flat pliers.

    Thanks Mikey, want to live up to the Lancer status. I looked at the MoM pictures but could see any foam. The endcaps for the new tube arrived yesterday, I ordered them from CfO. They are a bit narrower than the ones on the RS detonator. I might need to use a tube that is a bit smaller in diameter. Will have to check the against reference pictures.

    @BikerScout007: Thanks Mickey for the kind words, bit this is an add-on to my lancer kit. The lancer App was posted in Dec. and I got Lancer rank on Jan 7th. 😄 @CatfoodRob: that would have been a good Idea, Rob. Black foam between endcap and tube? Do you have a picture of that, I never noticed. How did you get the endcaps off the cast tube? Concerning the flightsuit, I opened up the seams in the area and sewed it in with the sewing machine. The riding patch is a four part assembly, and sewn in I to the inseams of the legs. I was quite a fight with the sewing machine at some points.

    Hi Rob, the RS - TD tube is a bit of a problem, as it is not flexible, during fitting and the first troop the clips were ripped out first right then left. One clip is gone. Wrapped around the tube, the cable looks like the RS cast Tube. The boots are not the Boots RS supplied with the kit, those are the Kingshow boots. So I can't say how the RS boot soles can be cut, sorry.

    And the quest goes on. Two projects right now, I'd like to make another pair of boots with leather covering. But right now I started on another smaller thing: The RS thermal detonator is nice but I'd like it a bit more screen accurate. For cable I bought white speaker cable: For the clips 0,5 mm steel. I made templates and started cutting with the Dremel and handling the corners:

    With the TRamp you can switch off the static bursts. So it will be okay for a scout. I will try it. I don't like to shout from under the bucket, so the voice amplification is nice.     I will have my first troop with the Scout in a few days. I have a TRamp and with my TK it is mounted in the chest. I thought it would work with the Scout Trooper too. But I was mistaken, there is not enough space in the chest. The only other possibility I see is one of the pouches. Does anyone else use a TRamp? Where did you mount your system?

    Damn it.... Now I have to upgrade it... That's my version right at the moment (added the belt yesterday and thought I was done)

    Boots and bucket are not in the box in this picture. The blue is just a microfibre cloth. The boots go under the top of the armour and the bucket, in its pouch fits over the lower area of the torso. When the full TK is in the box there is not much space left.     Here is a picture of the inside of the kit box; On the right is a big pocket which goes all the way down. On the right side is a row of 3 pockets which start at half hight.
