  1. I wear an Imperial Remnant Scout so it’s a bit easier. The knees tend to sit a bit higher - see first image. The 2nd image features myself and a ROTJ Scout (Drew) - see the differences in how the knees sit when kneeling? Drew is pretty much putting height on his knee armour, whereas mine rides up a bit. 2. I replaced the SC webbing, elastics etc with items more appropriate for the Mando scout Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Looking forward to seeing another Mando scout shape up. The SC armour is really easy to work with.
  4. I’ll show you mine we next troop together [emoji846]
  5. Congrats mate! Looks awesome!
  6. I used a locally available boot, not the Ozark one you mention. You can see my in-progress photos and the end result in my Mando Scout build thread: https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/topic/23617-tarok%E2%80%99s-remnantmando-scout-approved/page/3/#comment-229363 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Looking good! Much better [emoji846]
  8. Are you doing the oils technique? Slather on the oil paint, wipe it down and then stipple where appropriate? Looks good, although id probably remove a bit more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. @M.J @M.J fellow Aussie needs help sourcing suede for a bum flap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Have you asked the local garrison?
  11. Google Stoo’s shoretrooper shack. I believe he’s got a few fixes for the Sean Fields ST files. Nico’s helmet used to be the most accurate. Not sure if it still is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Good point too. Levels the playing field for those doing ROTJ scouts, but also for Remnant scouts - but not necessarily in a good way [emoji2373] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I was put off WTF, even though they are screen accurate for this costume, as they couldn’t give me a definitive production period despite wanting payment up front. I went with SC as i’d read good things about them on these forums. They shipped bang on time too [emoji846] I went with KeepTrooping for my flightsuit, but if you’re US-based it makes sense to go with what’s local to you and save a bit on postage. Wampawear all the way for the gloves though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Great to see another Imperial Remnant scout in the works. I was wondering the same as Chopper [emoji23] You can probably save yourself some $ and make the boots yourself. I had some reservations about doing mine, but trust me, easy as! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Congrats and welcome! Great to see another dirty scout [emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Great job on the weathering! Thanks for the notes about removing the glove liner. I’ve been contemplating removing mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Sorry mate, I’m clearly confused. I can only find the armour build and CRL videos. [emoji2361][emoji23] I can post my dressing order if it helps, but no video. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Suit up the same way as in Mickey’s YouTube video, just remember to invert your knee armour, and leave 1-2” between the chest armour and bund. Pouches can go over or under the belt (I prefer mine under). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I just slathered it on, but you could dry brush if you wanted to build layers up. When wiping with the paper towel, I dragged the towel in the direction where dirt might gather. Play around with it though, the long drying times of oils means you’ve got plenty of working time. Just think about where dirt might gather. I used a 2nd colour (iirc it was burnt umber) on my first couple of parts, but didn’t like the effect and ended up going with only the raw umber on everything else. I think Christina had a similar experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I used the Keep Trooping flight suit. Images in my WIP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks for the compliment [emoji846] I used an artist oil Raw Umber. I don’t recall the brand, however it wasn’t one of the more expensive name brands - just a cheap-ish “student grade” brand. For brushes, it was just a 25mm brush from the hardware store. Nothing fancy, just something to slather the paint on. I think I may have gone through 2 or 3 rolls of paper towels for the wipe off. 22. Always exciting to see a new Remnant Scout build started. Your shopping list is very similar to what I used - my build thread is on these forums if it helps. [emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Congrats!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Drew Check out the PFD DL’s armour build on YouTube for how to reassemble the belt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
