Same. I've had a Kashyyyk kit sitting in a box for the past 6 months. I've trimmed and glued a few pieces but as soon as I heard there was a Lvl 2 coming, I put it on hold and switched over to the Biker Scout build. I'm very excited to get the Kashy build going again. Seeing as there's not much activity on the Kashy side of the forum, I'll definitely do a build log after the New Year.

Maybe.. đ

Thank you all!! I could not have done it without all of the incredibly detailed build logs, tutorials, amazing vendors, and Lancer applications before me. This truly is the best detachment in the Legion.

TB-31917 humbly requesting lancer deployment status. I have made a few adjustments overall since my last post on the forum (shortened height of bund by 1.25", raised drop boxes to 1" below belt, and cut about a half inch off of my butt flap) and am now ready for the lancer review team. My kit is the following: Armor: Studio Creations Helmet: Altmann Flight suit: Modified Red Kap Boots: Cheesewhoopy Bund/Cod: Cheesewhoopy Flak vest: Homemade Blaster: DVH Gloves: Wampa Wear Thank you for your consideration.

Congrats trooper!!

I appreciate that. I think there's definitely some room to take an inch or inch and a half off of the top of the bund. I think we're (mostly my wife) going to give it a go but will certainly reach out to you if we have any questions. I just received basic approval yesterday, so now the goal is to make some of these adjustments and aim for Lancer.

Thanks Chopper! Those adjustments won't be too difficult. The chest/back armor keeps wanting to slide backward. I think it's time for more velcro to hold it in place. Overall, I really like the way this armor feels.

Hey there Scouts! I have just submitted my approval pictures to my GML for my Biker Scout and would love some feedback from you all as well. My end goal is for Lancer approval. I truly appreciate all of the amazing build logs, tutorials, lancer applications, and answers to questions I have had along the way. Armor: SC Helmet: Altmann Boots: Cheesewhoopy Bund/pouches: Cheesewhoopy Flak vest: Homemade Flight suit: Modified Red Kap Gloves: Wampawear Blaster: DVH Thank you for your feedback!

I picked up a rubber cast biker blaster from DVH and am absolutely thrilled with it. It even has some magnets cast into it so you can put some in the holster to keep the blaster from wanting to jump out. I'd recommend checking out his sale thread in the vendors sub-forum.

I have been wondering this as well. I keep putting my hands into the wrong pockets. Lol It's rather weird to have two sets of pockets. I have thought about sewing them closed. I removed all of the other pockets, hidden or not.

Thank you guys! That's a great tutorial. I'll definitely be giving it a shot.

Hey guys I have a question. I'm wrapping up my build and am trying to follow Lancer specs. I was always under the impression that the zip tie attachment at the shoulder bells was optional, even for Lancer. It looks like that language has been taken out and it is now a mandatory requirement for Lancers. Can you please confirm this? Thank you!

I totally agree. But I also think that level 2 shouldnât contradict level 1 requirements. Level 2 should merely be a more detailed and specific set of requirements built upon level 1. I think the rest of the crl does a great job at that. A great example would be: Level 1: single black elastic strap. Level 2: Black elastic strap is 2â wide. I donât think my GML will have any issues. That was more of a hypothetical.

I have one observation that I am having trouble with in the wording. The helmet bolts. For basic approval it says they are flat. Then for level 2 they should be concave. To me, this is a contradiction. So if I submit pics to my GML and my bolts are concave, they in essence would not meet basic approval because they are not flat.

Heck of a time finding Green Lens
Barber replied to Jakeputt's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Armor/Helmet
I have been wondering this same thing. It seems like the football helmet lenses that were used in the past are no longer available. The window tinting sounds like a great way to go and the route I'll be going with on my Kashyyyk. -
The boots look great. I'm slowly putting together my BARC Scout now and still need to find a pair. Do you mind if I ask what brand / style of boot you bought?

I had mine 3d printed via 3dhubs. The cost was something like 12$ for a resin print. It was a first time for me using 3dhubs and a good experience. I'd recommend looking into that if you can't find them else where.

I used thin strips of velcro(fuzzy side) on parts of the armor that over laps to prevent it from scratching or paint pulling off. Mostly at the chest/back to ab overlap and the shoulder bell to biceps. I haven't clear coated the armor because I do want some natural weathering to occur over time. I just don't want the unnatural look of having a ring around the ab or the biceps because the other armor is rubbing against it. To me, that isn't battle damage or environmental weathering.
