Thanks again Chopper. I did raise them a bit. I thought they were too low. I’ll post an updated photo. Now I just need the helmet and chest to finish this kit.
-
Do these look about right?

Today is belt day!

Just got to get in there mate. Post up photos ask questions. Step by step. I understand as I’m moving slow on this helmet build. Going to be my main one for awhile so want it to be super tight. Buddy send me some photos of his trim on his bucket. I’ll post more of my progress on my WTF build post so check there.

I’m building one now. Not sure of how dimensions are compared to others but I like the thickness so far. Just started tonight.

That’s what I just did tonight on the WTF. Before After Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How about these lines on the visor? Looking good? Thinner at the rounded area where it connects to helmet.

Filler putty recipe and other fillers

Good info and looks clean. Which bucket is that? Guess I’ll have to roll out to the store tomorrow and get some Devcon. -
Cut out the face! Trimmed and cleaned up. But what the hell do I do with all this runoff in the back?! Hahaa. I gotta trim that next.
-
It’s easy. Not as easy as a Studios Creations which comes already trimmed but it’s an easy process. Just have to take time. Measure twice cut once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What’s the proper ABS putty mix? Also what’s the experience with JB Weld vs Devcon Plastic Weld to Bond the two halves of the helmet? Using the ABS putty mix is better? Thanks!

I rounded the edges and will be doing a better fitting this week to try to finish up this chest.

Should these shoulder bells be a bit shorter? I like the way they sit but thought they might be just a tad too tall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I got the right stuff. Trying to be all fancy the other way.

Good to know! He’s close so yeah I’d like to check em out. Nice to know it breaks down too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I’m going to do this with mine as well think it’s much more secure and cleaner.

Is there any rule about the belt not being white? I want my belt to go all the way around and be the same height as the plastic part. So I got the same 100% cotton as I’ll use for the drop boxes to make a perfect belt. It doesn’t have to be white does it?
-
We’ve all done that. There are many people on this board who will chip in with great info. Where are you based? I just got approved so there’s plenty more to learn!

For my biceps I did most of the weathering on the inside where the t-bit rounded part should be facing so with a quick glance I can always tell that my biceps are on the correct way.
-
Awesome dude! Well that’s why I’m doing it. I did the same thing. Bought a used kit and modified it. There are a bunch of great threads. We’re here to help so post away and ask questions. I know I do!

What about adding a little padding under chest plate to help take off some of the tension/ add support? Had thought about using some of the 2†green foam and painting it flat black before attaching to the back of that chest. Any houghts on that?
-
Did a bit of weathering on my new arm pieces. Using the Studio Creations forearm pieces as Jeff had an extra pair laying around and much better than the actual included WTF parts. Before After

That would be a lot easier! And screen accurate. Yeah looking at screenshots like that made me realize don’t overthink anything. They sure didn’t. Ha!

On the back I left this tab so I can heat it up and bend it over. Then cut the slot for the strap. I want to trim the tank so there are tabs on the top and sides to heat up and bend over. That would give me me an edge to glue to the back piece and help add strength I think. The black line is where I think I can create a tab.
