I ordered 2 sets of clips and it came with a coupon. First one to use it can save some cash. Maybe it will work more than once. Give it a shot.
-
NICE! Better price than the clip ones too. Going to order a few to have for any new scouts that come my way. Thanks for sharing.

I like the tab detail - think it makes it look more authentic like that opens up in some way. I added it using basic pinstripe trim from AutoZone. Now if we could figure out a way to really make the tank actually open up to store things!

Did more sanding and respray. Think the circle pattern is gone now. -

Need some direction on black snout repaint please. Too light? Not correct size? What was the issue so I can make sure to do it correctly. Thank you. -

This is after a very busy year of trooping. Are these rounded enough or need to adjust more? -

FYI getting that black around the snout was the hardest part of the whole process!! Haha. Man is it tough to get perfect. So you’d like to see me redo it the size is ok but there is something that isn’t perfectly defined? -

• I’ll adjust and retake photo. These always go straight down my arm but think I rotated my arm in these photos. I have magnets in the bicep armor that is straight down arm • easy to adjust • The caps were 3D printed and I thought I had sanded, and primered/ painted enough to be clean. I can probably sand and repaint to be smoother. • The bone was a tad over the sole and I trimmed them a bit but perhaps a bit too much. Perhaps I can trim a bit rounder. • will do! -

New Bund and Cod. How’s it look?
Lawless Scout replied to Lawless Scout's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Ok redid all and think I’m finally happy with how I made it. Also did new pouches with unbleached cotton fabric for the slightly offcolor look to match my straps. Added foam strips into the ridges of the bund to give more of a padded look while also adding strength to help keep bund tall and flat. I like how it looks. Too bad just a “tad” too tight. Hah. Gotta lose just a few pounds I guess. -
All great notes indeed! I use the thick fabric stiffener found at most fabric stores. I also did a double stitch at bottom where the elastic is sewn into the cod for just a tad bit more stiffness. I just did this one and pretty happy with how it sits.

New Bund and Cod. How’s it look?
Lawless Scout replied to Lawless Scout's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Yup I was going for more of a Ginos look for sure. My second one came closer to the CRL I think. -
So I decided to make my own cod and bund. Happy with the bund but what do you think about the cod so far? I need to iron it and touch up some marks but think it came out well. Thoughts?

Wondering how they will fix the tank to the back? I also want to know if we can request the offwhite strapping. I only see white in the photos posted. Will they finish the kit lancer specs with the loose tank and correct strapping? -
Correct GREY for snout?
Lawless Scout replied to Lawless Scout's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
This grey is actually filler primer with a glossy clear coat. Guess I’ll have to redo it a bit darker.
