  1. I recently took a photo with my buddies RS and my MonCal kit - can't think of anything else now and really need a new helmet.
  2. I really live by magnets. joanns has Purse Clasp magnets that are easy to install with just prongs and 2 small cuts. Then glue the other to the bicep armor. I hate when mine move. the nice thing with the clasps is the magnets "click in" with a little tab - they will never move. I did the same with my knees too.
  3. It's just a kit right so no padding on inside? What did you do for that?
  4. So much help here on the forums. Post lots of photos and questions. We're here to help.
  5. Well hell I think it's about time for a huge SoCal Lancer/ Pathfinder photo! Bill is awesome and will be a great addition to the Scout ranks going forward.
  6. you can just drill a hole a little off center - and use a small washer - should be fine.
  7. Keep posting and asking questions. For a speaker system most use any small cheap speaker off Amazon - mine was $30 plus an upgraded mic (important!). These can either be held in one of the pouches but I prefer to put it either behind the chest piece (seems more like it's coming from me) or in my pocket of the flight suit. It weighs the pouch down to much for me. Where are you getting your boots from? Bund and pouches are easy - just remember right over left for the bund. Nice helmet too.
  8. It always starts here! Go ahead and cut off those clips and get ready for the fun!
  9. Very cool idea. Thanks for sharing - Pistol is right size most likely as yup the SC is way too big. Had the same issue with my first SC kit.
  10. Welcome to the Pathfinders. Fixing up those rivet holes isn't too hard at all. Drill out all the current rivets and use either e6000 or even any plastic weld from a hardware store like ACE or Home Depot to secure the 3 pieces together as well as filling in the holes! It will be really solid and sandable. Once the holes are filled and the belt made to be one piece a little sanding, wet sanding, primer and paint - BAM! One piece belt. You can do it man.
  11. I use a clip instead of Velcro in the back. One piece is attached to vest. And the clip on the elastic strap of the cod piece that is held on front of flight suit with Velcro under the belt. Nice and clean and easy to remove.
  12. yeah the Duck Cloth at JoAnns is probably the best option I'd imagine - that's what I use.
  13. @Chopper has a good photo - I just have my ART Challenge post
  14. our glorious leader is probably 120% correct - but I sure do like the look of the yellowed/ off white pouches and straps - along with some dirt and grime versus an all white version. You look at the Deathstar scene - yup all white! So dealer's choice. That strap looks off white and dirty to me vs the white of the plastic belt.
  15. I demand a RECOUNT! I think he stuff's his cod too. BWHAHAH CONGRATS brother! I'm following your lead.
  16. I use plastic weld to join the 2 sides and add extra strips under the dome. Then I've used plastic weld on top for further reinforcement - sands fine but super strong. Then Bondo if needed and lots of paint. I am putting together a second Walt's Trooper Factory helmet right now which is the 5 piece style.
  17. niceness and good to have a PT on the beat!
  18. That I did not. This is just a regular pair of dickies I had laying around and some cheap patch material. It was a test run of sorts to see if I could do it to my liking. I will simply sew up the back pockets as yeah they extend past the butt flap just a bit. This is V1 and I’ll be doing a better V2.
  19. Thanks. I wanted a tad cleaner tighter look than my current flight suit and this was my first attempt. Opened the inseam, and cut the patches carefully pinning them on multiple times to check fit and where my knee armor would sit. This is a back up to current and a test to make a full 2 piece lancer certified undersuit. Oh boy!
