This is probably ambitious...but has anyone figured out a way to use there phone with gloves? I want to put a go pro on my dlt-19 and use the phone app to film while I'm walking around at celebration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So the bund should ideally stop at the top of the belt. The belt should sit go across your belly button like high wasted pants people wore in the 70s and 80s lol here's a pic of my bund. Also use batting throughout the whole bund. And form mine I put an extra piece in the ribbed section so they'd pop a little more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh snap! If there's one thing I've learned from this hobby pretty much everything is fixable. Here's what I'd suggest: get some abs plastic cut a strip the width of the break, then make a 90 degree angle "L". Glue one part inside the belt where it broke and the other side on the other broke piece. You can curve the abs plastic piece into an "L" shape using a heat gun or even a hair dryer. If my explanation doesn't make sense I can draw a pic for ya Also, use CA gorilla glue or zap a gap for a really good bond

I like the subtle weathering, nice job. Biggest things that stand out to me are the baggy pants, the camel toe on the cod, the bicep position and the color of the boot soles. For the pants area, if possible you might want to look into getting them tightened up a bit, and see if you can maybe pull them up in the back so they don't sag so much. For the cod, try adjusting strap so it isn't so tight and bunching the fabric between your legs. Or if you re do it, add a piece of rubber or curved plastic in there to prevent any bunching. As for the soles, they should be tan. They appear to be white in your photos. Maybe you could paint over them? For the biceps you want them to line up with the forearms and be visible from the front view. Try adding Velcro to the flight suit and under the biceps to keep them in place. And where you are wearing your belt is fine I wouldn't change that. Also you could maybe bring the drop boxes up a bit. Overall you did a pretty good job brother. I would just look into those few things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Velcro on the flak vest and the back of the cummerbund does the trick for me. As for the belt, you just gotta get it tight enough so that it stays up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That should be fine. The grey bolt on the inside is what you use for scout visor. I actually set mine up so the grey bolt comes into the visor and helmet then into the headband to hold the headband in place. You might need to drill a new hole in the headband to get the position right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Advance Recon Team (ART) discussion

Ok our facebook ART group is called White Mountain Rangers ART. We've already got 17 members, 2 of which are recruits who have been very active in asking questions. We've already been able to provide some good help for them, so looks like it was a good idea to start the group! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Looks really good so far! I have Velcro on the top underside of my cummerbund that velcros to the flak vest to keep it in place. There's about an inch of cummerbund under the chest piece so it doesn't pop out. Try that and maybe wearing it a little higher. Mine comes up to my nips. Also you'll want to wear you biceps a little more forward so you can see them from the front view. If you add some Velcro to the underside of the biceps and then on flight suit that will keep them perfectly in place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I only mentioned it because it doesn't look like it's disguised by a flap. Can't tell for sure but it appears to be a zipper right down the middle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I agree. The short one definitely has a more screen accurate look to it that I'm digging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What are days off for, if not scouting? Lol and yeah my other bund I used half inch foam for the ribbed section and it felt s bit too thick to me. It was also creating a pot belly look that I wasn't happy with. So I used quarter inch padding this time for the ribs. It looks a bit better in person as the photo I posted wasn't very good. So the material was a polyester and cotton blend. I stupidly didn't take a picture of what it was. Next time I'm at Joanns I'll snap a photo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I had the day off so I figured, today's a good day to make a new cummerbund. I found a material at joanns that looked somewhat similar to the jacket lining. I also made the bund a lot shorter. It's now 9", my other one is 10.5". Can't decide which one I like better. Any input? Left is the new one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm gonna look into making a new one in my spare time with something similar to my jacket liner. This costume is OCD central. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm pretty happy with my bund but after noticing that I'm like, "dammit I'm gonna have to make a new one" haha but let me know if you are able find the material anywhere. I'm gonna look at joanns at some point and see if I can find something similar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Advance Recon Team (ART) discussion

I just posted in the New England Garrison to see if people are interested in an ART. I'd love to create a group to help fellow members keep up with standards or go for the lancer status and to help out new recruits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
