To think I was just talking with him a week ago, this is so sudden and sad. He was one of the people there from the beginning of my scout Trooper journey, always encouraging and giving advice. He will be greatly missed in this community. Rest In Peace brother. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just to clarify all I meant in my original post was that I thought it would be nice to have an optional process for renewing Lancer as things evolve. Personally, I'm not interested in a level 3, or titles and badges. I just meant a section for ongoing feedback, but in hindsight I could just post on here anyway and get feedback lol so I see now it's not really necessary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very good point. I didn't mean for it to be a requirement, I meant just more of an optional thing on the forums, but I see your point. I hope to be up there with you guys one day! Gotta save up for some of that strider armor and a new helmet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure if maybe this has been talked about before, but does anyone think it would interesting to have a Lancer renewal. I know I'm not the only person who continues to make upgrades after getting Lancer approval. This wouldn't necessarily have to be something that is mandatory, but could just be for fun and to get evolving feedback from the team. I've come a long way since my initial application. As you can see in the photo a lot has changed. Left was before, right is now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

recommendations for boot brands and vendors
cheesewhoopy replied to WhiteNightForest's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
These are what I use for boots. They're comfortable, durable, the soles are very easy to cut for Lancer and best of all they're cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Looking good so far! I'm excited to see how the leather boots turn out. I want to make another pair for myself with leather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cummerbund and attaching codpiece to vest
cheesewhoopy replied to TK-41015's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
This an older picture I have, I've since brought the cod up more. But it gives you an idea of how the set up works. The cod piece is sewn to the inside of the flak vest. I then have Velcro on the chest area of the flak vest and the top inside of the cummerbund and that keeps the cummerbund in place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Wow, lots of new lancers! I'm glad to see so many people wanting to take there costumes to the next level. Congrats Sebastien! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm really liking the H&M boot. The thing that always bothers me using work boots is how beefy they are as stasz mentioned. Those have a nice low profile like the originals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Weathering Armor and Helmet

Looks awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Nice weathering! The biggest things that stand out to me are; all 5 strips need to be visible on the cummerbund with the pouches being an inch away from the outside strips. You're probably gonna need to resize your pouches to correct that. Also your cod piece is a little long and bunching up at the bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cummerbund and belt trick
cheesewhoopy replied to cheesewhoopy's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Mine is attached to the flak vest, but I sewed it on the inside of the vest so when the belt slips unfortunately you see the black of the vest. I could move it to the front of the vest, but I just thought that looked funky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Cummerbund and belt trick
cheesewhoopy replied to cheesewhoopy's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Thanks for the input. If I made the bund any longer what ends up happening is it catches the top of the belt or slips under it and then starts to round making me look like I have a pot belly, which I don't like at all. I like it to remain as flat as possible. It could pull in the middle as you mentioned. I ran around the house a bit to test and didn't run into any issues, but I'll have to wait until a troop to really know. Also the photo I posted is on me not a mannequin. I'm wearing the belt higher so it looks different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I feel like I've been posting a lot on here lately, I swear I have a life! Lol anyway I've just had some free time the past few days so I've been addressing some things that bothered me on my scout. I kept noticing that when I move around you'd see too much gap from the bottom of my bund and the top of my belt. This is the solution I came up with. I'm sure there's something else that would work, but I just put this together. I made a small metal bracket and attached a magnet to it, then attached that dead center at the bottom of the bund. I also attached a magnet inside the belt dead center. And voilà ! It's sturdy, so it keeps the belt perfectly in place right at the bottom of the bund without any gap or overlap. Thanks man! Mickey's photo really shows how oversized my chest was. I took just over 2 inches off the neck area. You can really see the difference in this pic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
