Ultimate Helmet Comparison Thread!
cheesewhoopy replied to Chef's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Here's my Studio creations helmet (Left) Compared to my buddy's RS Props helmet (Right)...I think I might steal it! Seriously what an awesome helmet, unfortunately he had to do a lot of work to get it that nice becasue RS sent it to him thrown together, but it looks awesome now. -
Bund looks perfect dude! Nice work

Did the holster have cut outs?
cheesewhoopy replied to Eyeslave's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Like I said in your other thread, I definitely think they were cut out. I think the lines are way too dark to just be a shadow. And I know it's not 100% guaranteed but if Gino cut them out then I think there's a pretty good chance they were cut out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
That's a tough call, but to me they look like they were cut out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After this weekend I think I'm gonna go for it. Yours came out so good! I gotta get on that level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's definitely worth it, gives you an overall much more accurate look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Exactly. That's the tough part is finding the proper balance, don't wanna over do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've been wanting to give the spray paint weathering method a go for while, just to get a little more authentic look. I did a test on this tk backplate I had lying around and am wondering what people think. I don't wanna botch my scout up if it doesn't quite look right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Marine Vinyl from Jo-Ann's
cheesewhoopy replied to CommanderBounds's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Yes their vinyl is what I use to make boots and I haven't had any issues. I think it's normally like $15-20 a yard but you can pretty much always find a 50% of coupon online. It's quality stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I like how you added the zip tie anchor in the design, looking good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This really makes me want a chest from strider, the dimensions are pretty spot on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
*updated* 11 May 2017 finished end caps...(concaved)
cheesewhoopy replied to TB-1599's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I used my moms hair dryer and a tennis ball...seemed to work pretty well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I can't recommend Walt enough. He's a great guy and all his armor is extremely durable. I have his chest and belt. I was able to get basic approval and then Lancer with those pieces. I've been over to his shop and seen the rest of his scout armor and it's definitely worth it. Here's a photo of me at the last troop I did with his chest and belt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

These go down to size 6 men's. Be a little big but a couple socks would do the trick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sure thing! Had to hand stitch the pouches on, so stitching looks a little off but it's covered up by the chest anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks guys! After seeing Gino's scout on display at celebration I knew I needed to step up my game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After multiple tries I think I'm finally happy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Eric's done a great job so far and been very open to criticism along the way. I think he's pretty much good to go for basic, then we will focus on getting him that lancer status Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

EFX vs RS Props Showdown!!
cheesewhoopy replied to BikerScout007's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I saw EFX had the their scout helmet on display and I ran right over to the booth. It really is a beautiful piece. Now they just need to release the dam thing! The guy at the booth said it would be shipping in a month or so but I don't believe that lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Snapped a couple pics at celebration of the EFX helmet. It's really nice, now they just need to actually process all the preorders...the guy claimed they'd be shipping in a month or so Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
