  1. I used a cotton cloth I grabbed at Walmart. Has a similar waxy-textured finish to the fabric I used to make my Boba Fett flak vest. I will look at the Walmart and send you a pic of the type, and brand Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk
  2. I've been wondering this for a while now.. will look into this Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk
  3. YEH I would say don't bother with the Rubies helmet as it is too much trouble to go through to get it up to 501st standards. Altmaans helmet is a nice one though. You could look into one of those:)
  4. I have some 3-d printing files but the snout will need to be changed as it is more like the Rebels version of the helmet snout rather than the ROTJ snout. If you are going to stick with the DP helmet though, you will also have to dremel off the logo on the back of the neck piece. Also, you should do all the mods that were previously listed by Stroker. The snout could at least be touched up with some small files for deeper detail. also, the lense needs to be replaced, and the helmet probably needs to be narrowed down and reshaped with some heat over the course of a few days to a week. Re-modeling a DP helmet is a lot of work, as I have done one before. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but if you do it right, it should turn out great! Looking forward to seeing your progress!!
  5. Looks nice so far Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk
  6. It would be awesome if someone could post a sewing tutorial here on the forums over making this under suit....
  7. I would think that it looks fine. But then again you should probably wait for more feedback rather than just mine
  8. And the mudflap? If my comments sounded mean I didn't mean them to. I'm justa. Nitpicky bastard .
  9. Where are the ribs on the Cummerbund? Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk
  10. Haha. That's how it usually works. Neat-o idea though.
  11. Hey guys so in going through a rough patch with $$ right now but need a scout helmet by February. Do you know of anyone that sells HIPS helmets in decent conditions? I prefer HIPS but if I can only get ABS I will. FYI: I need another helmet after my modded Don Post helmet was stolen with parts of my snow trooper a few months ago. Thanks, Alex
  12. I called this guy out on the 404th Facebook page yesterday. Lowlifes like this need to be called out for the disgraceful stuff like this. Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk
  13. By the visor do you mean the lens or the visor piece above the faceplate? Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk

  18. I tried that and it tends to rip off if you carry anything heavy in your Cummberband pockets such as a bulky phone or change:(... Alex
  19. Mine is sewn onto the Cummberband. Alex Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk
  20. I use 2 long elastic strings. Another idea could be using thin suspenders from Walmart or something affixed to the inside of your scout chest armor. Alex Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk
  21. Strider is a huge help. His comments on many builds is what help me get mine done! Definintly keep him in your contact list;) Alex

  23. Great start. Subscribed! Alex
  24. Hey guys, Sorry about the Not posting for a couple weeks, as I was on vacation. All I did this morning was replace the airator, repaint the snout greeblie, and do a little reshaping. As for the reshaping, I JUST reshaped it. The tape is actually still on the helmet while it turns rigid again and regains a better shape. Tell me what you think?
