So ive got my boots, good old KMax Wheat Rustlers. (I believe the exact same model that wookievader had, but different logos) Ive been going over it, and it seems to be the most efficient for me, but alas i do have access to a really nice dremel, so i figured, why not ask... How has everyone cut/shaped their boots as they made them... dremel or knives? If anyone has any dremel suggestions throw em at me. Otherwise I'm definitely leaning towards the flat knife/basic blade combo. Thanks guys, tk

In pandas tutorial I'm pretty sure they get into it. Take a quick peek trough there

****Cumberbund and Cod update **** Since i still havent finalized the legs on the flight suit, this was just the rough overall of my cumber/cod. Wifey and i took the time and figured out the patterns, next up is the pouches, and lfight suit final mods. Definitely gonna go with the jock strap idea for now, till i decide another path..... scrunch....

Holy Crap thats sooooo weird DVH! My wife literally asked me if I had heard anything from you, then i looked at this. Sometimes the world is very mysterious. Thanks for the update, I'm really excited =D

Hey guys, Its been a little while, figured I'd toss an update up here. This is kinda where I'm at. Started the cumberbund this evening, but obviously its not in these shots. Im not sure if I should take the legs in until I've finished the cod piece and bund, since itll draw the material up and in. As for below the knee they may end up being covered... we'll see. Input always welcome! Thanks again guys and gals Tristan

I ended up finding a higher res version of the schematic, kinda took it and rolled, using my own measurments. We'll see how it goes after some work tomorrow.

Any available, I searched, got a couple diagrams, but all of the instructions are blurry when I try to view them. Anyone? Thanks Tristan

far away creations armor kit and painting helmet.
Tristancraig replied to Jakeputt's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
As a recent purchaser of SC goods I can attest to their wicked customer service and speed. The armor itself is super maliable and easy to work with. And asln as you take your time and research like crazy ( and bug a couple people in private messages) it can be completed quite easily. -
either that or my faceplate got rabies over night

lol thats just the abs showing through, the nose greeblie isn't glue on yet, its just there, it has to be repainted still
-
and i think i can bring the ears up a little more, what do you guys think?
-
the front view wont upload onto photobucket, still workin on it EDIT:
-
Here's an updated shot of the ear, and the rounding on the top edge, brought it up a tonne.
-
Did a bunch of work on it last night, I'll get some photos up this evenin when I get home

Aww Barry that's just wicked man, I'm basically gonna draw those lines on and go from there. You can kinda see where I took the top line up, and rounded the sides, but it clearly still wasn't enough. I'm still semi paranoid about going too far, but those paint lines will make it easier. The ears I knew were too small, but same deal, didn't wanna over so it. The decals are on for now, it makes me giddy seeing it so close. Thanks again for all the input!

Hey guys, How are the ear and lens cuts? (I had to sand the paint on the nose region because it bubbled a bit, decals I'll pop on later tonight until trooper bay ones come in for lancer) Overall any other critiques welcome

1st timer in need of helmet selection
Tristancraig replied to bradyapba's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
For the SC kit, what mods are needed for the helmet other than bolt color and extending the lens cut? -
And in this case will sit more flush
-
Yeah give those a shot Jake, if it's not too late, I used to sell shoes, lame I know, but glat laces I find are more aesthetically pleasing than tubes
-
Congrats good sir. Make our Lord Vader proud!

Just outta curiosity, does anyone ever use flat laces? Or that's just no good?
