  1. It's truly sad. When I saw this project, I was super excited. This would prove to be on par with LW. Finally, a super accurate bucket produced for many! If only they had a better business model... Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  2. I am so glad I pulled out and got a refund. I am not dealing with this type of BS... Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  3. SC armor is fantastic. The helmet can be made so with some pretty easy modifications. I have both armor and helmet from SC, and everything looks great now. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  4. I gotta have that weapon. That is so bad-ass. Is it canon/acceptable for a scout to carry this at any event? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  5. Each time you show the helmet it is better. The ear holes could be longer top-to-bottom, if you ask me, but the lens area is looking great. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  6. Great critique from the others. I completely agree. I think it is looking much better, and you'll look fantastic when this is done. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  7. I also believe that RS bucket will likely be out-of-the-box approved, if anyone ever gets one of those in the next century. When they are done, they'll be about as close as you can be to actual movie-set prop. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  8. Dont you still have to change the grey molded snout area completely on KS? I would call that a major modification. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  9. I appreciate the dedication to your build! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  10. Well... we know scouts were often times marksmen/snipers, so what rifle would they use? Is this common knowledge? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  11. Looking good, friend. I remember how it seemed like it'd be months and months before I would be done. Sewing was the big roadblock for me... I actually forced myself to learn how to sew using a Singer machine just so I could get this project done. I never thought I would sew anything in a million years. Lol. Pretty soon you'll be trooping with your brothers and sisters in the Pathfinders! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah. That is in the plan pretty soon. Thanks! Can't wait to go to the H Vilas Zoo in Madison. I believe that will be my firat official trooping. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  13. Looks like you have the right idea with your pencil lines. I did the exact same thing to my SC helmet, and I am so glad I did. It looks a lot better. I posted a couple of pics of the before and after in the "Ultimate Helmet Comparison Thread." Good luck on your build! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  14. Good to finally be amongst such fine company! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  15. Thank you! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  16. Awesome, man! Jeff puts together a great kit for us! Have fun... Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  17. Thank you, sir! Good luck on your own build. Make the Emperor proud!
  18. Wooooo! Happy to say, I am now a 501st Legion member. Very exciting!
  19. I am happy to say that I am now officially one of the Empire's finest! I very much look forward to trooping with others in Wisconsin Garrison!
  20. That looks great! That helmet, and your weathering are absolutely wonderful. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  21. I posted pics of my own lens area cut in the "Ultimate Helmet Comparison Thread" (post number 25) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  22. Here is a comparison of before and after the SC lens area cut modification (modifying how it is originally cut by the SC template): http://forum.bikersc...pic=10737&st=20 post number 25
  23. Here is an example of modifying the SC lens cut to be more film-accurate... The SC bucket can be quite accurate if the lens area is slightly re-worked. You can see that the top needs to be shaved about an eighth of an inch higher, and the "valleys" need to be a bit deeper and sharper. Also, the upper left and right corners need to be sharper. After my mod, it looks much more like the film props. before the cut: ...and after the cut:
  24. The top needs to be shaved about an eighth of an inch, and the "valleys" need to be slightly deeper and sharper. Hard to illustrate with words. I will post some pics in the helmet comparison thread or something later on. I just completed my SC helmet mods, and I am very happy with the shape of the lens cut now. 25. *Updated* Modified my helmet so the bolt heads are better, cut out the ear holes, and removed the lens and re-cut the lens area to be much more film-accurate. The SC helmet is pretty nice, but the lens hole is not very accurate with the template Jeff gives. I'll try to post some pics later illustrating what I mean. (I think the pics might be best served in the helmet comparison thread) I am just going to sew some velcro onto my knees in the coveralls to keep them centered and in the right place, then I'll probably get some velcro on my bund and vest to keep the bund exactly where I want it to stay. Then I should be ready to take my approval photos! Wooooooo!
