Biker scout pepakura helmet build
Bowfanny replied to Murderink's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
That's a nice looking unfold. Any chance of sharing? -
Couldn't have made a total mess of it man. Besides I am being extremely careful on assembly with mine because it's a lot easier to take off than to put back on.

Fantastic Good sir I'll definitely use that as an guide in my build!

There was another thread that had conversation about the slots being made open.

Lancer spec said forearm straps are 1" and bicep armor 1-3/8 inch. I pm'd Griffin asking for clarification once he's available.

Okay so I'm working on strapping my armor components and SC included instructions for all of their gear. My big question is, what size straps are the best to use for each elastic strapped part? SC included 1.5 mm for shoulders, elbows/forearms, and knees. I ask because I'd rather have the proper straps than to widen the strap holes and not have the correct strap size.

Greetings all, So in coming closer to getting my soft goods together I have questions about the vest. How far down ones torso does the vest need to go in order to be appropriately sized for ones body? Is there any curve or rounded areas on the shoulder flaps? I'm fairly decent with a sewing machine so installing Velcro and what not isn't anything phenomenally difficult to me. Any and all help is appreciated. Also I am asking because one of our other Biker hopefuls asked if I'd be willing to help him out.

First helmet, which and how to buy?
Bowfanny replied to Geographer's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Your noggin is just slightly larger than mine and like I said I can put the Altmann helmet on without opening the face plate it's roomy and all that well enough for a 61 cm noggin. When In Doubt- Send a Scout! -

Really like that stitching idea. I have a leather stitching tool that could very well be useful to do that with. -

I've got three sewing machines right now(ones a serger) Joann's machines aren't cheap. Even on sale they are outrageously priced. You can also hit up the nearest sewing machine vacuum repair shops as they fix up some machines to sell as well and they stand behind their work because they want you to come back.- 17 replies

Just received my Altmann helmet day before yesterday and my head is 23" around above the ears. I can literally just slip the thing on without opening the face up at all. There's loads of room inside. I'd say there's more room in my Altmann helmet than there is in any of my Mandalorian helmets and my Altmann is like a Tardis looks small from the outside but is bigger on the inside! -

Ok so I am curious if the KS boot holster is approvable for basic clearance in the 501st? I know people usually trade out for a different holster in order to get lancer.

Check out Walt At WTF.

I just received my SC armor today and I'm at 5'8" and 250lbs and the chest armor looks like it's going to fit me very well. My chest is 52" around. Then again I've not asked for a critique on sizing with photos yet. Will do that here really soon. When In Doubt- Send a Scout!

That's a bummer! But again it gives you an excuse to update things! As for my original inquiry the soles are what I am interested about since I am curious about how you cleaned the inside cut areas up! When In Doubt- Send a Scout!
