  1. Thats it in a nutshell. Lots of reading and asking questions. If you can sew you can save lots of $$$ making the soft parts yourself Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  2. I have seen those boots somewhere before...hmmmm Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  3. I think it is the same material as the drop box straps with elastic on the ends so the side straps dont deform where you can see it but will stretch to make putting it on and off easier and able to flex a little easier. Thats my interpretation of what I read Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  4. White Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  5. Try wampawear.com they offer xs. You dont want the gloves too tight and the gloves run a little small Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  6. Use pop rivets and a backing washer or something in every corner so the rivets don't pull through the boot Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  7. They are the largest that is offered. They are snug with the liners in and i have large hands also and i took the liner out of my gloves. It gives me a little more room and they are not as hot. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  8. And ask alot of questions....they are free buying first and asking if this will be ok for approval gets depressing and expensive. Its always best to spend time looking through other guys wip and see if they answer any questions you might have. The guys and girls here will be your best advice to making your armor a enjoyable build.....and have fun doing it because when you get it all done and approved you will be in another world when you see the looks on the public when they see and ask for pics Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  9. Pm answered. I would love to get a kit of his simply because they are good for big guys Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  10. I like the thought of the commander as my garrison has a hand full of troopers i just cant find a supplier of the commanders armor Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  11. Im looking into a snow trooper myself as there is little hard parts and it might be a doable suit for a big guy Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  12. Here are the close up pics of the cuts The heel front The toe And the heel Didnt have to clean out the cuts because they were made in one cut Hope these help
  13. I see a second pair in the future for me Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk

  16. I will post some pics tomorrow Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  17. The flight suit is a redkap that most use. The boots i made are from Kmart. Fabric from Joanne fabrics. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  18. For the toe and heels i just eyeballed the space on one boot and then put them sole to sole and transferred the lines so both boots matched Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  19. I just took the lines from the existing notches on the bottom of the boot and went straight up from the point where the notch goes flat....idk if that makes sense. You can see the lines in the first set of pics i have where i drew the lines in pencil Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  20. Don't be overwhelmed....it is a fun process to make your armor. There is alot of excellent info and everyone will help you. Ask first and post some pics beforehand and let someone chime in and say if that looks right or wrong Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  21. I did something like that.....it was replacement padding for baseball batters helmets....it works fine for me cus i cant use the hardhat liner....big noggin Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  22. I only used my dremel for the sides of the boot circled and it was with the sanding drum on low speed to smooth out the cutlines. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks again for all the advice form everyone and for the guys that i didnt have direct conversations with thanks for posting your WIP so i can get visual ideas of how it should look. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  24. Shhhhhhhh dont tell Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  25. I marked out the dogbone in pencil and stitched the stitches before I cut out the dogbone from the vinyl..also found the pivot point for the arc and allowed the sewing machine to turn the vinyl along the arc by holding at said pivot point. Going slow and doing a little bit at a time...lots of try and error too. I would get three lines done and the last would mess up so i started over again Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
