Some of you may or may not have seen the previous thread on problems with Hyperfirm. Just for reference, it is located here : http://forum.bikersc...showtopic=11938 -- I am proud to say that I have contacted Lewis, and was able to pay and was shipped a DLT with no problems. Great customer service, and delivery to my home via Fed Ex. As noted in the previous file, Lewis is a good guy. He's gone above and beyond to make things right from the previous problem that Thing/Karl had. And Lewis was also willing to come out of what I took as his retirement from casting these, to make one for me. So, once again, I'm pleased to say that I have a DLT in hand, made by Lewis under the Hyperfirm banner. If ANYONE had any doubts on Lewis, I suggest thinking twice. He continues to be a good, upstanding member of our community as well as the Star Wars costuming community as well. I just wanted to make sure that Lewis was provided positive feedback for this transaction. And this post was made with his blessing to speak about my DLT. Thanks for reading, and once again, I encourage you to purchase from Lewis / Slavefive if you're looking for Hyperfirm. He will not waste your time. ---- Thanks again, Lewis. I know I've said it about 15 times already, But I really appreciate it, buddy. Thanks for being one of us.

Andry is absolutely right. You should go to Trooperbay and order the correct decals to go on the helmet. The ones that KS put on are okay, but if you're just going to replace them, it's kind of a waste. And I suggest getting in touch with rottie here on the boards for one of the DVH snout greebles. They are pretty nice to have. You'll just need to let him know that you have a KS bucket and he can trim it down to size. It's a little costly to get all the extras, but well worth it in the end.

Have one. Love it, because it includes me to have space for my glasses. Assembled is easier and allows you the opportunity to not mess it up when you are assembling. Plus, if you don't like it, you can ship it back and get a replacement. That's something you can't do if you assemble yourself. Pay the extra. Just be prepared to wait to get it, and no communication. (Research feedback around here for more info) Hope this helps! Be well. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Good deal. Glad to hear it. The question is... Are you happy with it?

I'll agree on current standards. I have no problem with that, But I'd still like to see an option added. Just my opinion. Like I said previously, I'd think the Scouts on Endor had a whole wide array of weaponry. They were just out on Scouting missions when we saw their small bit in the movie. BY the times we (as outsiders viewing historical documents) Saw the Empire on Tatooine, and Hoth.... The Scouts had already left. There was no need for us on Bespin, as it was a surprise attack and no recon needed, although, I'm sure Vader had a sniper or two hiding in the wings, around just in case. So, yeah, I'd like to see it changed, but I understand current thinking. Maybe I'm biased on both sides, or want the best of both worlds. I don't know.

I think you have a serious problem with/without Rhinestones. Just sayin'.

On the bund, I meant the pouch closures. They seem to hang down lower than the pouches come down. They should be even. As for the flap, I can't offer much advice there. I just think in the pictures it looks a little short. But, like i said, I think you could go ahead and request basic 501 clearance.
-
Work on that cameltoe issue, buttflap may need to be a bit longer, I don't know who made it, and the closures on your chest/bund are a little long. But that's just me being nitpicky right now. Other than that, I think you're good to submit for basic 501st approval. Good job.

Just about all the optional choices I had to make on my build I thought about and made sure I had meaning for it. Like, on the tank - I went with 6 because it has meaning for me. I don't want to keep repeating the story, But someone close to me passed away on 1/23... So, I felt that I could safely use that and add 6 bars for ranking stripes on my tank for that small detail and it has meaning to me. Everyone else thinks it's standard, but for me, I chose 6 because it was important. For me, this is all personal, and I take an exceptional amount of pride in it.

Skinner, can you please add a picture up close of the nose vents? Thanks!

Those seem good from appearance, but I don't know what the soles are made from and if it's easy to sculpt. I was told to look into the boots they have at Wal-Mart. They should be around $30ish . Plus, you can try them on in store. Just an option/opinion.

Also, we've all had the same experience you're having. So, we know where you are coming from. Just be patient, or be persistent.

KS has been known to have long wait times. Anywhere from one to 4 months is what I'm seeing. DO a search above and you'll find some feedback and people asking and talking about KS. You'll also find that If you need an answer, and you are not getting replies to your emails, sending messages on facebook will get their attention. If you start threatening to make things public, They will move a lot faster. I'm under the impression that it's just one person doing all the work, so if you have patience, use it. But, No, not a scam. Just.... Overwhelmed. And I'm in no way making excuses for them. I do love my KS helmet, But I'm not likely to EVER use them again.

Looks like the KS nose greeble with decal to me.

I don't see anything to complain about. lol Good job.

Further evidence of alternate weapons!
Soundwave replied to EnigmaEngine's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Weapons
That's understandable... I'm just guessing that in the movies, the scouts were dispatched to Endor. They were recon to figure things out and make sure it would be stable for use. I'm sure they probably had cases of weaponry on site, but when scouting areas, just used what was basic. I want to believe that we saw basic used scouts. -
Further evidence of alternate weapons!
Soundwave replied to EnigmaEngine's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Weapons
http://www.501st.com...TX_shadow_scout Shadow Scout authorized for additional weapons. ...What exactly is the difference between the two in real world? Same armor, should have the option for same weaponry/accessories. I understand in Star Wars lore, the shadows are a brand of Special Ops, However... As we've seen, Scouts in white armor have also been seen using addition weapons. Just because it isn't screen used weaponry, does not mean that we should discredit it, in my opinion, but then again.... I'm not in charge here. -
SC armor building materials
Soundwave replied to Fistful of Energon's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
The suspenders can be used to hold the Bund up, and keep it from sliding. -
Oh, yeah... I forgot. Matt, Sweep the leg.

Sending you a PM.

That's a KS snout greeble over a painted black plate on the helmet. All the KS snouts look that way, they just come on a grey sticker.
-
Don't get me wrong here. I don't want to say that it's too much... But the fact that you can see clearly into every crease of the armor is too much for me. It looks too uniform. I think you're on the right path. Just don't go so heavy all over. Space it out.

Looking forward to seeing the final!

there is a lot of this topic over on the "It's critique time" thread, if that helps.
