Got all my SC stuff today and have read every post back into 2012 to get a feel for what others have experienced. Before I started I was wondering how many people ended up painting theirs and how flush does the top piece get to the back piece on the average build. I saw some people filled theirs ( which I am thinking I may end up doing) but was curious if others were able to do it without filling?

And would these be too light on color? The movie boots seem to be a really light tan

Having read a ton of posts today before going out looking for boots, I was curious as to how well painted soles have held up? I am pretty sure I can find single color ones but does the actual shade of the sole matter or is any shade of tan ok?

Thanks everyone. I just went ahead and order the armor and helmet.. Should have it in 3 weeks.

Since plenty of people seem pleased with their purchases I am just gonna buy the complete kit and see how it goes. If I have to buy a different helmet down the line no big deal. Just anxious to get started lol.

Thanks! My questions were... 1) what is the time frame currently on shipping armorand helmet 2) what modifications are needed to the helmet to be 501st approved 3) what defines an extra large head? My head isn't Beetlejuice like but I don't really think it is Sloth sized either. I was/am still really torn on which helmet to get but would like to get the project done by June if possible. I have plenty of free time ...some of the SC pics look " wide" in the face for a lack of a better description compared to the more expensive ones. Most people not involved with this stuff ( ie: people at charity events which is my goal) prob wouldn't even take notice so I was thinking about starting with the SC helmet for now as it is my first actual build. Thanks for the help!

Is there a way to get In touch with SC other than their site? I am at the point where I have all my money ready to buy my armor but want to ask him a few questions before just using the Paypal. Button. The site rejects my aol ( I know , it is that old) email as well as my work email address.
