Yeah, just want the most accurate scout I can get Thanks mate, they actually deliver to Australia, so bonus! Pretty sure we don't have that here, but I'll see if I can find some somewhere before ordering the stuff that bikerscout007 suggested. Thanks everyone for the help!

Howdy guys, just wondering if someone in the States can confirm that this cord is the type I need to upgrade my thermal detonator to Lancer level. Trying to get my kit up to scratch and shoot for Lancer, but living in Australia means some of the parts are hard to access. I've found this cable on Amazon that ships to Australia, but just want to double check that it's the right type before paying for shipping to Australia! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KKLOLO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 Cheers!

Altmann only does Scout helmets though, just an FYI because you're in the Shoretrooper section

Found a couple today while surfing around on google -
Getting closer, finished off the bucket and added the zip ties as suggested in a separate thread, just trying to get a good pattern from the overalls for the suede patches. Haven't had a good run with them yet! I've also added all the Lancer spec elastic to the knees, forearms, biceps and shoulder bells.
-
Thanks for all the replies guys, looks like I'll go with the non-looped zip ties for the shoulders
-
Thanks mate, I'll hook 'em up and see how they go
-
For those of you that have used the zip tie shoulder bell connections, how well do the shoulder bells sit on your shoulders? I have the zip tie mounting bases and am planning on doing the connectors as seen here: But I was just wondering if the shoulder bells sit up to high due to the loop in the zip tie and, if they do, what would be a workaround for it? Thanks!

And the TD is suitably greeblied!

Recently unemployed, I've found myself with a bit of spare time up my sleeves.... On advice from our Scout guru, I've added shims to my bicep pieces to strengthen the weak point where the elastic goes through. Due to monetary constraints I won't be going for full Lancer just yet, but will be upgrading where I can. A fair bit of the Lancer spec requires specific sized elastic through all of the armour, so I have that all on hand and will be adding them over the next couple of days.

Thanks MJ, I've added a curve at the bottom of the patches. I'm friends with the owner at my local leather shop so he gave me a good deal on a big piece of suede, so I have more than enough to do my flap and riding patch! I'll take them in a little bit so they aren't so wide, thanks for the advice and help guys.

Got the holster riveted on and the T bits and snout all glued on
-
I wish I'd thought of the idea, but I just borrowed it from other build threads!
-
lol, no. Just planning to cut out the pants to use as a pattern for the suede!
-
So I'm about to start work on my riding patch and hoped to get some feedback on my pattern: I've used this picture as a reference for the back: Thanks!
-
The fish hook too?
-
And I has facehole! And ear holes (although I think they may be a little small, but better too small than too large!), any feedback on the ear holes would be appreciated.

Some Saturday night painting! After visiting our local fountain of scoutly knowledge, I painted my snout greeblie a bit darker as the primer grey looked a bit light compared to his. Also threw the black on the helmet groove and the red stripe on the tank fin.
-
I'm starting off small, working on the TD caps and tank topper and greeblies. Since this will be my third costume for the 501st, I'll be aiming to work towards Lancer and really put some effort into this costume. I've added the concave dips into the TD caps with an old ball bearing I had, sticking with the idea of 'less is more' as I read in another build: It's a bit hard to get a good photo, but they're both done! I also masked of my mask greeblie and elevator bolts and gave them a coat of primer grey, as per the standards:
-
It's BBB day! Now I can seriously get into the build!
-
Thanks mate. It had the same cord type as the one posted earlier, but I'm not sure about those odd American cables!
-
Howdy guys, I'm in Australia and unfortunately Home Depot doesn't ship here, would this cord be an acceptable substitute: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006G69YCC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 Thanks for all the help with this!
