  1. Thanks for your application Stefan! Stand by while the Level II Review team performs an evaluation. We'll let you know if there are any questions.
  2. Thanks for the feedback. That image is an older one and not really shown unless you click the main image. Plus, that TD greeblie is from way back in 2011 - before we knew the correct part. I have tweaked the text to make it more clear. It's totally fine for basic clearance and could easily be modified if you'd like to go Lancer, no problem.
  3. The Pathfinder staff wanted to clarify the status of a "Vanguard" Shoretrooper. We realize that a lot of hard work usually goes into building a Vanguard-class Shoretrooper. We also realize that the goal of obtaining this artisan level of costume building is a penultimate goal for many. So the Detachment wants to recognize the work that goes into each Vanguard build. To be a Vanguard, you must submit an application, be reviewed by the Vanguard Approval Team, and obtain approval from the Command Staff. If you sell your Vanguard class Shoretrooper costume, but still have a non-Vanguard-class Shoretrooper, you still maintain your Pathfinder Detachment membership. We will also allow you to remain Vanguard status on the forum, but will designate you as a "VANGUARD RETIRED" and your photo in the Vanguard gallery will reflect that change. If you sell your Vanguard class Shoretrooper, but do NOT have any Shoretrooper costume, but still have a 501st Legion-approved costume, you cannot remain a member of the detachment, per Legion charter. We will also allow you to remain Vanguard status on the forum, but will designate you as a "VANGUARD RETIRED" and your photo in the Vanguard gallery will reflect that change. If you sell your Vanguard class Shoretrooper costume, and do NOT have any other Legion-approved costume, you cannot remain a member of the detachment and cannot have access to the 501st section. At that point, we will remove your Vanguard status on BSN as well. Of course, since each Vanguard is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, we expect that the same will happen with each Vanguard retirement. If you have any questions, let us know!
  4. To apply for the Vanguard squad within the 501st Pathfinder Detachment, please follow the steps outlined below: First, you must be approved for the costume you are applying for. If you aren't, get approved through your local Garrison. Post a thread in this section with your specific build details (i.e., title = YourName Vanguard Request). Make sure to list the maker of the armor, all parts and pieces in the build, and any other relevant information for your application. Make sure to include clear build images. It's usually best to post pics on an image hosting service like Imgur, Photobucket, or Flickr and link them in the thread. Only the applicant and Vanguard Review Team should comment on your thread. ALL other comments will be removed. The Vanguard Review team will be in touch with feedback from the team. Once approved, the status of your application will be "APPROVED". An announcement to the forum will be made and your action pic will be posted to the Lancer wall.
  5. Please remember that Vanguard is NOT COMPULSORY, and if you do not agree with the standards set, then there is no requirement for you to try and attain it. The Pathfinder Vanguard standards go above and beyond the basic standards to demonstrate the costumer's skill and pride in the art of costuming. Application into the Pathfinder Vanguard is strictly voluntary and it is not a 501st Legion or Pathfinders membership requirement. Vanguard qualification is not automatic and it can only be obtained through the proper application process. In order to have a Shoretrooper costume approved for Vanguard membership, an applicant is required to meet the 501st Legion's basic costume standards for the costume and to be a registered Pathfinder on Bikerscout.net. One must apply to be included on the list. Vanguard status will be granted to applicants whose costumes meet the standards listed below. All applicants are required to submit photos of each aspect of their armor displaying each of the required components so that they may be judged by the review committee made up of the DL, XO and Vanguard Review Team. Vanguards who later sell their armor or who otherwise no longer meet the basic 501st Legion requirements for membership (i.e., whose armor deteriorates in quality or those who go permanently inactive) will be acknowledged as a Retired Vanguard. Anyone who buys the costume of a Vanguard will not automatically earn Vanguard status. Individuals who do so would have to apply for review as a new applicant would. 13. Great pics man, thanks for all the work. I still wonder if this fella from RO is Ezra.
  14. Ah, gotcha. Once you get out there trooping, you'll never see those stains. Plus you'll pick up natural weathering as you mentioned. That's how mine was done, too.
  15. Try out Goo Gone. It's great for cleanup like that and also removes paint safely. It's citrus and natural, too. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002S4I79M/ref=asc_df_B002S4I79M5171249/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B002S4I79M&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198084439869&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11267688381825559796&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9027284&hvtargid=pla-327373585905
