  1. Here we go this is how mine is done.
  2. Wow thats a tough one you got any pictures mate? Im a 45" chest and my SC armour meets up just fine at the shoulders, my cloth bridge covers are 50mm wide.
  3. On behalf of myself and the command staff, I'd like to welcome John TB-4097 to the Lancer ranks. Be sure to get a picture in to Daan for the Lancer page. Now get out there and make us proud John!
  4. Il get some tomorrow for you mate
  5. Mine were mounted flat to the cheeks and helmet, on my mlc I cout a small square just bigger than the magent, and dremelled out hole for the magnet to sit in, this was then epoxy glued into the chin strap recess at the bottom, I then dremelled out a hole in the cheeks for the magnet to go into, so when it closes they sort of slide together instead of going face to face directly if that make sense?
  6. Agreed as long as it doesnt show below the chin you should be fine, although the one you posted looks very long in the face and feel that it might show, but I guess you wont know untill you have it in hand
  7. This is what I buy http://www.diywelding.co.uk/?i=39583
  8. Ladies boots are a pig to find, and usually cost me £10 more than mens boots which is daft as there the same make and smaller
  9. Whoopsy, get it fixed bro, no biggy
  10. I buy shade 5 welders head shield lenses the type used for gas welding where the lense covers your whole face and not just the sily rectangle, I can get about 3 lenses out of a piece and there usually about £5 ish
  11. I would play safe and stick 6 stripes on bro, this seems to be the most popular.
  12. Thank you for the application, I will get the ball rolling. Can I see close up pictures of your bicep armour side by side and also a close up of the back of your helmet please. You will also to need to add rank stripes to your rear armour hump right side, please look at reference pictures for positioning. Not really sure why it says optional for Lancers but required for scouts, I will bring this up with admin, it says 1-6 for lancer but 4-6 for regular scouts again I will bring this up so you get it right. Ive always thought it was a requirment and optional between 1-6. But leave it with me bro.
  13. Couple of bits jump out at me bro, the dog bone shapped trims looks a little small over the top, the toe section just below the laces looks like it wants to be alot tighter and the soles on the boots possibly more tan coloured, but yor off to a good start mate, have you glued it up yet? If so your not going to be able to re stretch the toes. Did you heat them up beofre stretching the vynil as that makes it alot easier to work with bro.
  14. I have 2 40mm fans in the cheeks of my MLC, I also have the snout aereator drilled out with real mesh in, but to be honest my helmet never steams up as bad as say my TK.
  15. Agreed your going to need to stretch them alot more mate, I normally stretch and leave for a few hours then repeat. I use a heat gun to warm the vynil while stretching, sometimes I repeat the process half a dozen times, but then again some go on the second stretch. You will always get a loose bit between the laces in the recess but it will be tight each side of the laces and across the top when right
  16. Cant wait for this bad boy to come to life, awesome job so far bro.
  17. You have 8 verticle stitch lines on your bund front bro, this needs to be reduced to 7 giving 6 raised areas. Your going to need to un pick them and redo. Its only a 5 minute job if you have a machine mate Apart from that just need to see you dressed as Dave has said
  18. Congrats mate on becomming lancer mate, your work paid off. Also sorry to hear about your grandma bro, thoughts are with you. Now go out there and stomp those little furry rodents
  19. That now looks alot better bro, looks more fitted and clean
  20. Its the straps that hold the drop boxes on, these now have to be made from "cotton" webbing type material only, no nylon is acceptable now. I got my misses stuff on Ebay and was really cheap bro, keeping the same length as yours are now, no longer. Thanks
  21. I feel your thigh straps want to be a little tighter, I would like to see pictures of both bicep armors showing Tbits, also a picture of your flak vest please. I think your bund may need a little tweak, you need 7 verticle stitch lines that show between the pouches. In the picture they could still go up and in a touch. Also the black out line around the decal on the rear of the helmet needs to be removed. Just abit of tweaking mate. Thank you
  22. The seven are there, but cannot be seen when its on as two are hidden by the edge of the pouches. It would be better to re do the stitch lines and bring them closer togther, to make the seven more visable. I wonder if the flight suit bagginess could be taken in a touch around your thighs also as it is quite large there?
