  1. On behalf of the Command Staff, we would like to welcome Manny, TB 22011 , aka Daelma to the Lancer ranks! Make sure you get a picture to Jim GriffinX so he can add it to the Lancer page. Now get out there and make us Lancers proud!
  2. Hi sorry for the delay, had a bit of a rough time of late trying to sort a new house out. But you have done what we asked, yes a couple of bits are slightly off, as this is an older pattern of mine the cod chevron is a little stealth edged, could do with a quick 2 minute re sew to make it more curved to look like current versions. Your holster boot is sagging a little But well done dude you are a lancer
  3. Not sure if they have improved quality control, but it was a case of hit and miss if the helmet pull itself is any good
  4. Yeah there isn't a definite measurement, one rivit on the ends and you must try and plastic weld and hide the join when making it one piece
  5. It's best to bridge the riding patch, but the cod on the bund covers. So really I guess as long as it looks one piece once dressed you'll be good bro
  6. Personally I'd steer clear of Velcro and just use rivets for attaching the holster, you still get some vynil movement and certainly would help avoid the bunching up around the Velcro as seen in Jeremy's picture ( sorry dude)
  7. I'd say pull the chest plate down a bit, your boots are a little short for you. They want to be about 20mm below the front of your knee armour. The pouches possibly could be a little larger also, shorten the rear drop box strap a touch
  8. Definitely want to move the pouches up and outwards bud
  9. Thanks for your kind words John and Keith, we pride ourselves on the close helpful family feel we have here
  10. I rivet my boots, but I do it inside out. You don't want to do it from the outside or as Rob said the sticking out piece will shred your feet
  11. You usually go a tiny bit larger and use a backing washer
  12. I'd go for another heat and stretch before gluing especially over the lower lace area
  13. It will show through if you go too heavy with it, I found this out when building my TK whoops
  14. Personally I wouldn't use the bund template, the cod shape is wrong and you don't want the X stitch details, but it's good as a start point. I personally use the first pouch template but the box width needs to be reduced to 1.75" as mentioned in Chefs pattern
  15. These sizes really are user specific, things change for different height scouts
  16. The shoulder straps do indeed need to be cotton, the same stuff the pouches and bund are made from. Elastic is not allowed, size wise really there is no hard rule, just doesn't want to be too big and scaled to you, best use reference pics and get it looking right If your referring to the part that extends down to the shoulder bell, this is ok as black elastic, say around 20-25 MM elastic. Just need it disguised as best as possible
  17. Apologies my wife has had me busy fitting bathrooms. One of the staff has mentioned the vest sleeves being a little too baggy although the length is much better. And also to try and level off the belt, bring up at the front and down at the back. The bits of rubber u sent seem to have gone in the heels ok, I would look at maybe trimming them a bit narrower as they look wide. Couple of minor bits get these done, suit up and we are good to go I recon bro
  18. You will need to be in the region of 18 1/4 inches around the bottom
  19. On behalf of the Command Staff, we would like to welcome Kevin, TB 70385, aka THISISKEVIN, to the Lancer ranks! Make sure you get a picture to Jim GriffinX so he can add it to the Lancer page. Now get out there and make us Lancers proud!
  20. I have granted you lancer because, you have done everything we have asked. It has been brought up about a slight bicep misplacement they are riding very high, so move those down when dressing in the future please Well done and see announcements
  21. Because the donor boots used in the film had no stitching, the first picture is super inaccurate and the figure. Well really that isn't a reference for too much detail
