To be honest, it kinda looks like a recast SF. I wouldn't recommend that helmet to anyone. Like Lou said, there are a lot of things off about it. I'd be hesitant to approve that bucket. It's just sloppy craftsmanship. I def look forward to seeing you fix it up though.

Everyone has hit on everything. Remember you need the suede on the suit as well as the straps on the leg. Nice looking scout.

A bit confused on how to attach the pouches?
Chex replied to dankelzaga's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
I have mine sewn. It's never failed me and I don't have to worry about suspenders showing anywhere. But like everyone has said, whatever works best for you that's going to keep your bund up and not sag. As far as pouches go, I think everyone has given good advice. Ultimately though, it's how you want it. Just make it look good. -

Reshape modification tutorial

Hurry up and finish your scout already. -
I use a smaller stanley bin. I keep everything in it but the helmet and gloves.

I just keep hearing more and more bad things, and seeing bad things when it comes to KS helmets...a shame about that.

Just make sure you shore up your shoulder bridges to they look a lot cleaner. Also, paint the rivets on the belt, fill your pouches so they don't look so mushed..coming a long nicely.

Good job, though the stripes on the back seem like the start curving up a little.
-
lol it doesn't have to overlap by 3 inches. No where in the CRL does it state that.
-
Agree with everyone. Easy approval. One thing I would also add is to bring up your drop boxes a tad more. Maybe about an inch. Like everyone else said though, just fitting it to you better for a cleaner look. Good job on the build. Get those pics submitted!

You can put it straight on if you want. I imagine that the MoM scout just had that one slightly skewed, as other could be perfectly straight, or not.

Those would work for base clearance. If you want to use those for Lancer, just remember you would have to cut the notches into the base, as well as paint it one solid color (including then white thread showing). I know here in the states, finding a solid color sole for a base boot can be a little hard, and expensive.

If you have to sand it, then I would just go with a high grit sand paper like..400-600 or higher. There may be other options, but when I repainted my KS bucket, I sanded, then wet sanded, then primed, painted, wet sanded, did that a couple more times and got the finish I was looking for.

Need to change that snout and visor bolt covers!

Ask him to make yours without the vest sleeves. He did that for a squad mate of mine. Christian is a pretty good guy to deal with.

sskunky's Lonewolf Scout lid build WIP

Jealous! -
Phil, that's how I have mine, and it's worked very well for me. Only draw back to that is that I need someone to pull the back of my bund up to the velcro when I suit up. But it stays put.
-
Just what Terry said. I think we pretty much all did that lol. I couldn't tell you how many times I taped and retaped after looking in the mirror to make adjustments..
-
I used cotton, but if I ever redo it I'll switch to nylon.
-
If you want to go for Lancer, you will need a vest that is separate from the suit. I myself have one of his suits, and I cut the sleeves off lol. But I do know that he will not incorporate the vest sleeves if you request it.

Novus is very well known through out this community. I was actually going to recommend it when I first started reading your post lol.

Thermal Detonator Greeblies Clarification
Chex replied to dankelzaga's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Yep, what Marcel said. This seems to be the general consensus when it comes to the greeblies. -
Agree with what you said.
