Hiker Scout
I am working on my soft BBB now. (Boxes, Bund, and Boots) No armor yet. Hopefully ordering this week from Studio Creations. Using tutorials/ patterns found on the forum i have had great success with my BBB this past few weeks. Boxes are complete, Boots are nearly done, and the Bund is measured and cut ready to sew. Hopeful to finish all soft parts this next week, then off to the real BBB order. Boots: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19708-biker-scout-boots-tutorial/ Boxes: I cut out foam board to fill the boxes to stay taught.

NegativeEleven
I don't get on here often, and hate to make a negative comment, but are you worried the cummerbund is too short? Scouts often have trouble with the bund slipping low and "black" showing between chest armor and bund. Some scouts correct this by making a cummerbund taller, almost to the armpits. I have always hung pouches from the armor. I briefly tried pouches sewn to the bund, but the weight of a voice amp in one pouch pulls the whole thing down. I hope you don't find you need to completely redo it once you've got chest armor to work with. Good luck.
Chopper
While Chris' bund does appear to be sitting low and will need to come up once his armor arrives, I think he'll be OK with what he's got right now. If the bund is around 8-9" then he should be just fine with the bund sitting just above the belt. A slipping bund can easily be addressed by adding some velcro and attaching it to the flak vest.
BikerScout007
Cummerbund definitely matches production references as far as height is concerned. I'm sure it will look fine once he pulls it up above his belt

Also for level 2. The boxes much appear to attach to top of bund. If short I'll just make another one. But based on my height. I think it'll be ok. 8-10" is average bund size. Line is 9"

NegativeEleven
You just look like you have more "black" above the bund than armor will cover. Again, you did a great job sewing and yeah, level 2 does require pouches attached to bund. I prefer my costume wearable to accurate. 😁 Putting a voice amp in the pouch complicates things. M.J
Chris fantastic job on the cummberbun, I agree it does look a little low though just as Mickey mentions wait till you get your armour and you get to fiddle around. I do tend to make sure members that I'm fitting for a bun to have their kit with them as I can make adjustments, though you do have the luxury of making your own. Chris your Arch is too high up, was just taking a closer look, you can bring your bun up, though you may have to redo the cod piece. I think I had it as a 6 inches away from the sew line, but this is on the top of my head. I can chase up the measurements if you dont have them. Hiker Scout
Ok so to be real. I ordered my armor on 8/31. Was very nervous not buying through a big store like Amazon.. etc. 3 days went past and I only had an email from PayPal no word form the armorer. So I got more nervous. So I emailed them, sent a Facebook message, then found the email on PayPal receipt and sent that an email as well. Haha. Well within 24hr of my email I got a response. "We are shipping your armor tomorrow." So I had alot of worry, but.... Orderd on 8-31-21. Delivered 9-7-21. 7days for full delivery. I highly recommend Studio Creations for your scout armor needs. It's BBB day! Time to start the fun.
BikerScout007
Dude back in the day there were armor makers that would take 18 months to ship a kit. SC has always been one of the fastest and most reliable vendors out there. Congrats on your Big Brown Box day! 1
Hiker Scout
Hey on my belt the left has a small crimp point between center box next box. Will this need to be rectified? Or ok to continue with building?
