Hi Jill. I think that color will work fine and since it has a primer as part of it I'm not sure you'll need an additional primer there so you can save some $$. @Chopper do you agree?

I would stick with the colormaxx paint over the self etching primer.

Thanks guys. I was able to lightly sand off most of the enamel gunship grey other than what is left in the crevices. Heading out tomorrow to get the new paint.

Correct forehead decal added and cleaned up the plastic hairs a bit better around the lens. (Our Christmas tree lights reflected in the lens are a bonus).

Excess glue on shoulder bridges cleaned up and covers replaced with cotton webbing after having to remove the originals to trim the back armor bridge.

If I’m keeping track correctly, the only item left on the list is the replacement of the bund and cod with correct fabric and the correct size pouches. I’m sending thae old goods off tomorrow and am at the mercy of the USPS for getting it to the vendor and then back to me. In the meantime, I wait.

TD looks great and thank you for cleaning that excessive adhesive up around the shoulder bridges. Those look good too! Looking forward to seeing you get the bund and pouches back. If you have any questions about them or what's required there don't hesitate to reach out to me or @Chopper and we'll be happy to help.

Remember what Chopper says "for the bund, cod, and pouches, Level 1 of the CRL only calls for "white fabric" for the bund and cod. However, Level 2 calls for smooth white cotton fabric. Polished cotton or mercerized cotton is preferred, but at a minimum, smooth white cotton fabric. Your pouches should be made of white canvas-type material (e.g., duck cloth)."

My vendor assured me that she uses the smooth cotton fabric now.
For the pouches, she was just going to resize the ones I have, which are made of the white canvas duckcloth. Is that ok?

That’s good to hear. Yes. The pouch material will work just fine. Just want to hit that 6x5x2 measurement.

Well I have an update but unfortunately it’s not the one I was hoping to post.
Finally got the bund and cod back from being remade. The bund and cod are now the smooth cotton cloth, but she forgot to resize the pouches to 5” wide instead of the 6.5” that they were. They are 6” now, so one more inch to go. LOL
At least the material on everything is correct now.

No more glue showing

No more glue (but apparently a cat hair)

So a few things checked off I think with just the pouches left to be fixed. I’m so close to getting this all done.

I think (hope) it’s finally done.
Pouches have been re-made to the correct size.

I believe this now completes all requested updates/changes. Please let me know if I have missed anything (I’ve been checking everything off as I received feedback after posting each update and there’s nothing left on my list so I’m hoping mine matches yours ).
Thank you.

Outstanding work Jill! All those changes look great to us! As a final step we would like to get a last set of photos with you in your updated gear. They would repeat the first set in your first post with front, back, right/left sides. Just one more step to the finish trooper!

Thank you. I’ll get those photos by the end of the week.

Ugh... my husband wasn’t familiar with the new camera screen and didn’t realize my boots weren’t in the actual photo, even though they were visible on the camera screen (new iPhone 12). I went from being excited to so bummed.
I can retake them all if need be.
