Getting a Sewing Machine Tomorrow

That’s happened to me the hook side isn’t very friendly, good idea to rethread, go slow not fast, look at tension as well. There are some hook Velcro’s worse than others.

Mark, you’ve got some great tips to work off of from everyone. I’m just going to throw my two cents in. Make sure the presser foot lift is down so that presser foot is engaged. When I first started sewing I would forget to do this and was pushing the fabric through manually rather than the presser foot doing the work. I wrecked 8 leather needles trying to stitch the Velcro on my mandarin collar before I realized it.

I have made the mistake of not putting the presser foot down. But I was making sure that it was down last night. I'm going to rethread it right now, and use the advice you guys gave me. Hopefully I will be giving you guys some positive news soon.

With the help of my wife rethreading it (I had bedtime story duty), I was able to sew the Velcro onto my flak vest. Thank you guys. 🙂

Yes, sir. Taking pictures of the adjustments I made for my Lancer application tonight. I hope I did a good job.

Make sure you give the lvl2 CRL a good look over and use that as your checklist Pathfinder. If you have any questions reach out to me, @Chopper, @BikerScout007, or @Dart and we’ll be glad to help you. Good luck!
