Are you talking Scout boots or KT boots? This is in the KT section so that is what I am guessing your building.

Question for the lady Scouts out here
jabbasdead replied to TB-5027's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Welcome to the boards and yes the armor is adjustable -
I am pretty sure that KS doesn't glue their bolts on, the person you bought it from is a different story.....Are you talking nut to bolt glued or bolt glue to helmet?
-
I'm glad that I am not the only one that can't keep that dam bicep armor up. With the other screen cap, the t bit piece looks bigger than the one on the TD....but then my eyes never worked that well...just hope one day we will gain access to a screen used kit, because I don;t think the blue-ray will give us much more unless there is behind the scenes footage where they are fitting these guys, like the photo's we have in the gallery How about we pull our money and tell Lucas we will make a donation if you give us 10 minutes with a kit

ATTENTION: New Lancer Added to the Ranks!

Congrats on the promotion!!! -
I have assembled both and neither one was a challenge, my current kit has pieces from both. Either way, you will have a good kit to troop with.

I can't put a finger to it, but something looks different-like its too long or something. I wish I were not so articulate, and I am wondering if it is just the camera angle, great job with the top portion-fixing that squashed look. -
if you find a Rubies for $10 and put a lot of effert into modding, you should be good to go.

Soon to be Biker Scout WIP, for now, 1 Question to vets.
jabbasdead replied to a topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I have seen an attempted and it looked too angular and the sizing was off-Lego Scout was his nickname. He ended up using it for paintball I think and bought a set from SC. -
I have two dremels, the cordless that goes in my travel bin and the corded that stays home...Hopefully getting a KS kit in March.

Dang Dremels, almost as pesky as those furballs. You went one step farther than I did by cutting out the complete snout. Keep the photo's coming, looking good. -
Its an old post so it was woth a shot, sorry guys...
-
but if you go through the thread in the glove section I think you can get the BSN discount, you might check they are nice gloves.
-
I use velcro on all the ones I make. Just attach it to the velcro in the back.

Glove Modification...Step by Step w/ Pics

I was thinking the same thing. -
Yeah, I live in Oregon now and even with the snow I don;t think it would get cold enough for me to add...
-
I have seen the liner in person and it does fit the DP/Rubies bucket well, but for someone like me that has a big noggin it is too much padding and really eliminates any ventilation. But for those in colder climates or have the bobble heat thing going, it is not a bad option.
-
It really doesn't take to long to make a Rubies acceptable, and if you have a weekend you can clean one up pretty nice. But it is still a Rubies, which mine is going on almost 7 years now....one day I will have a KS
-
I just wear contacts now when I troop with the Rubies. If I need to wear glasses I put extra padding in my bucket which lifts it a bit and forward and let the face shield (don't know what else to call it) slide forward a bit. Looking forward nobody knows the difference and from the side you just see an slight 1/4" gap, most can't pick it out from troop photo's + it gives me slightly more ventilation

Interchangeable Lenses for helmet?
jabbasdead replied to bluehickey's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
you could run velcro on the inside and cut a bigger lens and attach velcro to the different lens, then swap them out. I do that with my Mando bucket because I switch out a chrome lens with a red one depending on what kit I will be using -
Cody will be made at me if I take another one of his Nerf guns I'll just wait until he breaks it, then it is Carbine time!
-
mine came from Depot, just cut it to size.

do you have any pictures with your gear on? As has been posted before, you don't buy Lancer status. Having all the mods in the right places and having it fit you right is going to make the difference, but picture of it on you in gear will help.
