No worries, have you met any of the troopers around you yet? Florida has a big Scout family.

Couple of things, fill out your status completely so we can upgrade you to 501st status. Then next thing is go to the welcome section and introduce yourself to the Garrison. The last thing is we have an armorer, bluecyclone that can answer all questions Scout that you can't find doing a little research. Good to see you and you have some good Scouts in Florida that can probably help you with a build. Welcome to the boards...

yeah, I would try the window tinting places for scraps. Take you helmet in and they will probably give it to you for free since the toss bigger pieces than what we need for your lens. If you take you helmet, it is usually good for a few pictures and free scrap.

you should be able to find a small CPU fan at a place light radio shack and running a 9v is pretty easy and lightweight.

I think that chest piece was just over trimmed on the sides...What is the shiny piece (fabric) on your left thigh, right above the boxes that are a bit low (which you knew)?

I don;t think there are any, have you scoured the all the pages in the armor threads? Are looking for 3-d or pepura (sp)? You might check the replica props forum, I thought I saw some there years back...

I still think it looks to wrinkled compared to the picture that bluecyclone posted. I am not sure if you can unwrinkle that softer vinyl, most I have seen try just end up replacing with the heavier material. Stuff is like $5 a yard at Walmart. Anything less than stellar and I doubt they will give it a pass. Good luck.
