  1. Sadly I can’t seem to find this one on Australia’s under armour site, seems to only be available in America. And shipping was going to cost more than the balaclava itself [emoji24] I’ll have to do some more digging to see if there’s any similar Aussie ones out there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ok great haha yeah I wasn’t very keen on suffocating on future troupes, I’ll wear it covering my chin. Cheers for the info [emoji16] And yeah we don’t want the little ones realising we’re actually only from a planet not very far away at all. Are there any balaclavas that you guys recommend? I am in Aus and would prefer to shop here but if need be I’ll buy internationally online since I’ve already bought Wampawears gloves. I know there was a guy you tend to tag when someone from Australia is asking about finding bits and bobs but I can’t remember his username [emoji21] sorry! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Oh sweet yeah I did check out his mic and speaker kits out a little while ago. Didn’t know he was having a break though! The cable management is pretty neat btw haha very clean looking interior Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hellooo I’m slowly buying the soft parts for my scout and had a question about the balaclava. Does it have to pull up and cover the mouth and nose or can there be a full face hole in it so that it covers the chin and that’s about it. I think this scene in the pic I’ve attached is the only time we see “under” the scout trooper helmet even tho he’s not an imperial, but he seems to have his whole face showing which is how I would like to have mine. I’ve had a look at the CRL balaclava and that one does cover the mouth/nose. I’m assuming it’s down to personal preference… unless there is a definite balaclava design and the CRL design is the exact one we need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The little metallic square sitting in the snout with the wires running from it, is that a contact mic? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Right away sir hahah
  7. Ahh gotcha ok I’ll disregard that decal [emoji106] Cheers Lachy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hi guys! Might be a stupid question but I have no idea where the “snake hook” decal belongs on the scout armour. Could someone a lot wiser than me please let me know where this goes? If it in fact goes anywhere… Pic attached Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Great! This is really helpful thanks mate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. @Chopper out of curiosity, which vendor did you go through for your approved helmet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Oh sorry yeah my bad, it wasn’t the greatest angle! But no there is the beginning of an ear hole, but it comes to an end about an inch in. I would just have to remove that “wall” that’s inside the canal to make it a continuous hole. Hoping I’ll have a deft hand when it comes to that 😂
  12. Haha yeah that’s what immediately worried me once I started reading the CRL 😂 But great, that’s an easy fix. I was also concerned with thickness, or lack there of, of the outer walls of the ear curves/sections. One, for accuracy, and two, for how sketchy it’ll be when trying to run a hot knife through the plastic inside to make the ear holes. I’d hate for it to melt through and ruin the print 🥲 Do you think the ears look ok? Not too thin walled?
  13. Hey gang, I recently bought and printed this scout helmet from Galactic Armoury and was wondering if someone was able to tell me if it’d pass approvals? https://imgur.com/gallery/gkLCTMp I printed it before joining the 501st so I didn’t realise that certain shapes and indents weren’t allowed. It does have the decals imprinted into the PLA but I can always fill them with putty during the sanding process, that’s if this helmet is ok. (Uploaded pics through Imgur as the photo sizes were too large, hope this is ok) Thanks guys, Cheers from Australia, Lachy
  14. Ok sweet thanks @Chopper
  15. Hi guys! I'm just wondering if the Scout's snout aerator has to be a specific design for 501st approval. I've attached two pictures of 2 designs I've found and wondered which one would pass approvals. Thanks guys! Lachy
