Thanks Aradun, yeah I understand now the that L2 requirements are what stipulate the allowance of the use of the 4 bars and that I can only use 4 (thicker) bars if my tank has a trapezoid for L2 approval, but am free to use 4 for basic without the need for the trapezoid. I will want to shoot for lancer in the future so I’m just sort of ticking off easier L2 requirements as I go, and I don’t actually have the trapezoid decal haha so hence why I chose 6 as I wouldn’t have been able to go for 4 for L2 down the line anyway. And I’m not too bothered about having 4 for my birthday, thought it would be a nice touch but I don’t mind either way! Thanks again for checking that I understand, and I was thinking about this yesterday but the amount of help you guys all give to peeps with questions like me day in and day out is incredible and so valuable. Don’t ever think that we don’t appreciate you! Proud to be part of this community. Alright time to stop being mushy [emoji28] thanks again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ah amazing thanks for clearing that up! I’ll go ahead and pop 6 on to my tank as I don’t have the trapezoid. Cheers L Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just clarifying that if my tank decal doesn’t sport the extra trapezoid detail, that I’m still able to go for 4 ranks bars? My understanding is that 1, 4 or 6 rank bars is acceptable without the trapezoid detail, but only 4 is accepted when the trapezoid is present. Hoping I can use 4 without the trapezoid as it’s my birth date haha Cheers! L Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Haha maybe I’ll just do that too, I’ll have a look into elastic laces as well just to settle my curiosity Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What do people usually do about the laces, I've seen some people use elastic laces which is a good idea. Do others just tie them up before glueing the vinyl and leave it? Or does glueing it the way it's glued in the tutorial stil allow you access to the laces anyway.

Oh amazing, thanks guys. I went for the Honeywell ones and it’s free shipping internationally to Aus, woohoo! Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi team! Just a had a quick question about the grey 3m bolt/ hinge for the visor. Where would I be able to purchase a pair of these? I had a look through the forum and came up short (probably missed a post somewhere) And for when I do get my hands on some, how do they actually attach to and fit into the holes. I'm sure that'll be pretty obvious once I see them but was curious. Cheers The bolt: https://databank.501st.com/mw501/images/9/97/Bolt1.jpg

Oh ok that’s good to know, I’ll base my searching around the appliance white colour. Thanks heaps, cheers Chopper Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi! Just wondering if the ROTJ Biker Scout has to be painted a specific shade of white or if any can of white paint, off or not, will be fine. Cheers, L0CK

Oh yeah that’s a decent approach, you’d want to be veryyy careful and very accurate conducting business. And yeah the buttflap would hide it all nicely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hahah it does look pretty discrete but I’m not sure I’d be very comfortable lugging around a bag of my own wee under my suit [emoji23] definitely a different approach and it would probably be pretty handy if troop was a long one and there was a severe lack of restrooms haha but maybe not for me, I might stick to the kit down [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi @Glory530 ! Just thought I’d let you know that this costume thread has been super useful to reference for materials and the like for my biker scout build that’s still in its veryyy early stages at the moment [emoji28] It’s a great resource and is very much appreciated. I’m sure others would agree! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fragarock's Scout Build
L0CKSTER replied to fragarock's topic in Scout Trooper: "The Mandalorian" WIP
[mention=83808]fragarock[/mention] just commenting here as I wasn’t able to in your lancer request thread but woah I’m so thoroughly impressed with the pictures you posted of the corrected, more-red weathering you submitted [emoji50] really well done, you should be really proud of that. Even the previous weathering that was more grey looking was incredible! Thought your detail was wicked and super effective. @irongladiator oh my god that’s a horrible experience! I would’ve cracked up if I just saw boba fett taking a leak at a local park at night. Gotta do what you gotta do. I’ve just been to Europe and I usually lasted a whole day only going to the bathroom in the morning and then later on in the evening, never felt like I was busting at any time, and we were having drinks and food out and about too so I’m pretty confident that as long as I go in the morning or just before a troop then I’ll be fine for a wee while (pun intended). But I’ll obviously go if I need to. I’ll check out that video too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wow 14 years, impressive! You’d hope you’d have it down to the T after that many troops! Car costume gear ups and downs would definitely be a bit easier and I suppose a bit calmer (away from the bustle of the crowds and other people changing and fixing costumes) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the reply @M.J ! And fellow Aussie [emoji4] Yeah I definitely do not want kidney stones, never had them before and certainly don’t wish to get them anytime ever haha. Yeah I’m sure I’ll be troubleshooting my methods as I troop. To be able to do it independently will be the goal, but having friends hold armour is an option and probably what I’ll have to do until I’ve got it down pat by myself. Like learning to go potty all over again [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had a closer look at my Red Kap coverall zip over the weekend and sadly it only has the one zipper on the front, no second zipper to be seen. So I was thinking that I might just add a whole extra zipper or press stud button section just below where the existing zipper teeth finish. I'd love to know your thoughts on this and if it's a good idea or not, or if there's even a different approach I haven't thought of... For reference if it helps, this is the coverall I bought: https://www.redkap.com/mens-coverall/SCT10CT.html?dwvar_SCT10CT_color=charcoal&cgid=men-coveralls-overalls

Yeah kitting down would also allow you to cool down I suppose if you’re feeling stuffy in the costume Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hahaha that’s hilarious, I did think about how it must look to others walking out of the toilet in our suits lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@Darth Voorhees oh wow that’s a good track record haha I feel like that deserves some type of medal [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Ohh my bad, I hadn’t realised it had a second zip towards the bottom. That’s awesome. As for ‘#2’s, I wonder if anyone has done some light modding that makes it possible to go without actually taking much off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This just dawned on me upon receiving my Red Kap under suit for my biker scout build... surprised I hadn't thought about this until now XD

Haha actually that’s not a half bad idea, might message the Perth garrison then. Didn’t even think of that, thanks! And nah it’s not the last piece of the puzzle, I’m just super eager to buy everything I need now because I’m just excited [emoji28] but yeah I actually did just buy a cheapie from Catch for $13 haha And yeah they probably are a bit of a “consumable” [emoji23] I’ll flick my garrison a message and see if I’m in luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey Tarok Sweet cheers mate, I’ll check out Catch. They seem to be sold out at the moment on Amazon but I’ve found one on EBay haha. I haven’t checked Catch yet, I’ll do that today, might be cheaper hopefully… Cheers again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
