Want to start with my Scout Trooper
OnkelPaschulke replied to Admiral Kendal Ozzel's topic in Getting Started
Hi René, If you need any guidance you can hit me up with a PM or just look through m WIP. I’m from Germany, too. I could help you out with some sources. Are planing on building your own Softparts or buy them ready to go? Doing it on your own can be challenging but fun at the same time. Good to have another potential ROTJ Scout from Germany. Cheers Arne Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk -
Looks like you're off to a good start! I know what you mean with the pockets, the reinforced corners are a real pain in the a**. Just started redoing my jumpsuit yesterday and was sitting in front of my tv and was cursing all the time... 😄

I think on the RS helmet there is a little notch in the helmet which supports the faceplate when it’s lifted up. But that is just a guessing. I myself have a SC helmet and it’s like Dennis said, just tighten the bolts and the faceplate stays open. At least most of the time… :-D sometimes it tends to come down while you are chatting with another person. ;-) Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

WIP wannabe Lancer by OnkelPaschulke
OnkelPaschulke replied to OnkelPaschulke's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
The saga continues or Winter is coming... Ok guys, now that I've been approved as ROTJ Scout for some months and already had some awesome troops with my armor I guess it's time to move on with my project. Because my big goal from beginning was to achive Lancer status I already did the strapping on the armor parts according the requirements for Lancer. So the armor in general shouldn't cause any major problems. In the meantime I'm waiting for my new helmet by Ironmotion and I just want to wear it when I'm starting my Lancer deployment request. The biggest issues I have with my bound and the pouches. I did add some velcro on the bound and in the inside of the armor but unfortunately this seems not to stick very well so the bound always comes down after a while and I'm slowly transfering into a Mando Scout... 😄 The vest is ok but the sleeves got teared appart a little bit so this has to be addressed as well. And last but not least I'm not satisfied with my Jumpsuit as it is still a little bit to baggy, the fabric is thick, parts of the suit have a doublelayer and I did messed arround with the velcro for the biceps and knee armor and used some e6000 on it. It looks terrible. Nobody can see it but I know it's there... 😛 I've tried to get my fingers on a RadKap or Kolossus overall but there weren't any overalls avaible in my size in germany and I didn't want to pay for shipping and customs for just an overall. So I've searched the internet and found a nice overall on amazon by a manufacturer called BWOLF which is located in Bulgaria. The price is 36,99 € which is very cheap and because of that I thought that I couldn't do much wrong. Today the package arrived and the overall fits perfectly and so I don't have to adjust it that much. The fabric is very light weighted and consits of 65% polyester and 35% cotton which makes it very comfortable the wear. It already has the open collar which I definately wanted to implement with my Lancer build. But I definately need to wash it first because it does smell a little bit chemicaly... 😄 So first step will be working on the new overall. Does anybody has experiences with attaching the buttflap on an elastic waistband? -

TreeHuggerMatt Scout Trooper ( ROTJ ) WIP
OnkelPaschulke replied to TreeHuggerMatt's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
As Dennis said, family first. These are strange and difficult times for all of us. -
Looking great in your armor and I had almost the same issues like you after my first troop. Especially the TD falling of my belt and still haven't figured out a good way to keep it on the belt. Well, it happend two times in one troop. Maybe I wasn't dressed correctly... We'll see, the next one is on the coming weekend! 😄

Ok, I've just ordered one of the new Iron Motion helmets. I can give you a little comparrison with my SC helmet as soon as it arrives. He will starting pulling the parts in two weeks. -
Hey Marco, I hope you don't mind that I'm doing a little bit of gravedigging with this thread... But with the Star War Celebration in London ahead I'm thinking about the transportissue myself. I do have a Stanley Fatmax but unfortunately I'm not able to fit all the armor and softparts inside. I know that there are helmet bags and you could take them as carry on but are there other "hardshell" opportunitys?

I might consider this change pretty soon... 😄

Hi Jordan, looks like you're making good progress. Just one thing I saw - and maybe it's because of the angle - but the right ear opening looks slightly smaller than the left one.

I like the vodka approach most! 😄 But I already was asking myself the question of washing the soft parts. So thanks @Black Jade for bringing up this topic!

I see what you mean but maybe it’s just the lightning or the test pull. The forms do look like they rounded. I‘ll keep my eyes on it or maybe I just ask hin. [emoji16] Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk -

He posted some new pictures on his IG. In September he will present a completely build one at the Noris Force Con. Because he's making some prototypes for the TD I guess he will be doing the complete armor later on. -
WIP wannabe Lancer by OnkelPaschulke
OnkelPaschulke replied to OnkelPaschulke's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
Just got the message by my GMOs that I‘m officially approved as TB-30729! A special Thanks to@Chopper and@AradunFF for guiding me through the whole process. In the end I wasn’t able to stick to my goal of documenting the whole process structured in chapters. But sometimes things change during the whole process. At least this is what I learned. Now up to the woods hunting those damn teddybeara… [emoji23] Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk -

While I‘m still waiting for my Basic approval can you see any major issues with my setup for the Lancer application? Besides the ones I mentioned before? Al Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
